    i had a terrible issue w a boat a while back-a 20’ aluminum deep vee w/ a 130 hp yamaha which dug in so hard to port. i went simple w/ smart tabs ( automatic trim tabs $139)—it was like a miracle-problem solved. I was a little shocked it was that easy good luck

    on my Lowe, i used the brocraft downrigger mounts. with my cannon swivel mount i left one screw out and i put a 3” self tapping size 8 into the gunnel to insure security. although it is stationary, it is rock solid and easy to remove & only 1 small gunnel hole on each side.
