it would have to be 5/32 or 3/16 to be sturdy and not flex much if you want to rplace carpet at a later date - it may be a PITA to get old removed good luck

i have rebuilt many aluminum boats over the years. 5/8 exterior sanded or marine plywood (if you can afford )coated with epoxy & covered w/vinyl or carpet will last many years. Sheet aluminum is very high right now. never use Pressure Treated wood inside an aluminum hull good luck

SOLD-Price dropped to $18,500 obo I am selling a 2020 Mirrocraft boat and 2020 Karavan trailer that was bought in Panama City, Fl as a leftover in March of ‘21. It was used ONE time. The previous owner broke his back in an industrial accident and could no longer use it. It has been stored in a garage with its cover on. It is like brand new. The boat has incredible fit & finish. It holds 9’ rods in center box and 10’ on the side. The 3 bank charger has never been plugged in. The amount of storage is incredible. A 50” livewell and a smaller baitwell are great and have never been used. Boat has carpeted decks and Vinyl in the cockpit. I put a brand new starting battery as the original was dead from lack of use. The Karavan trailer is like new. I greased the bearings and put 2 new tires on it due to sitting so long i did not trust for 400 mile trip home. It has a foldable tongue. It came w/ a Yamaha 90 four stroke w/ 4 hours on it. I put it on my Lowe. I put my 2016 Yamaha 90 four stroke w/ 255 hours (serviced 1/14/23 oil & lower unit fluid change)on the Mirrocraft. It has had all its services and runs phenomenal .
