  3. I’ve heard some very productive captains make mention of importance of running the same spoon stacked (mag low standard high). I’ve heard most specify this tactic for early morning fishing with glow spoons, carbon14’s, etc - for first bite of the day. Usually chute rigger. Question is: is it more effective to run a stacker with each spoon on separate rod, or a slider (with the standard spoon being the slider)? Also, short leads or long leads? Run these deepest?? If stacking, distance between the two on the rigger cable??? Are these even viable questions or is there a different technique that works different days or for different boats? 4. I’m roughly 1/2 hour west of Rochester. Not sure on shipping but I could find out if you’re serious. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. One BigJon mast with base. No reels or pulleys. $50. Two homemade masts with Ryobi reels and clothesline pulleys. Don’t laugh cuz they ran mint and you’re jealous your homemade rig doesn’t work this sweet. $50/pair cuz that’s how much I have into materials to make them. I made new taller dual masts and took the reels and pulleys off the BigJon. Located in Holley. Shipping on your dime. Trades for??? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. Would you sell just the swivel base? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I’ve heard buzz of guys buying drag kits for the Okuma reels. Any idea where to procure those? Seems as though Okuma didn’t use premium felt drag washers like Penn, Daiwa, Shimano???? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I’ve heard of sticky drag, catastrophic meltdown when a big king goes for a 200’ run, inaccurate line counter. I’m well aware of the brand loyalties. I’m not familiar with the Stratamaster like I am with Convector or Magda so my curiosity was if anyone had any experience with the stratamaster and good/bad/indifferent experience relative thereto. 13. Have two okuma stratamaster sm30d reels. Curious with all the negativity associated with Okuma reels if these are going to run as well and are as tough as my daiwa and penn reels? I run primarily Daiwa 47 reels. Few Penn 320’s. These would be serving as rigger rods for me. not sure on their age, but they’re in seemingly excellent near new condition. If they’re inferior to my Daiwa and Penn reels, then I’ll just use them for spring brown trout planer board fishin.
  14. Searching for (preferably) clamp on style planer reels. Would like large arbor, manual only. Cannon, big Jon, etc. have dual masts already on gunnels and two sets of pulleys. Would trade with set of collapsible boards, and tons of spoons. Cash (obviously) as well.
