I did lower the smaller one a half inch and tilted the SI-DI-duel spectrum so the back is slightly lower and that lowered it in the front slightly as well...🤞 Hope this helps... Thanks! -

Thanks Rolmops! The long transducer is a Mega side Mega down. I thought it has to be lower than the smaller one to avoid interference. Does this make a difference?

Are these transducers OK? I haven't had the boat in the water yet. Once it's moored it won't be easy to get to the transducers. If right or wrong please let me know... 🤷♂️🙂 Thanks...

Thank you! Good info! I used to use perch eyes on Swedish pimples jigging for perch when ice fishing but that was 50 years ago and I had forgotten about using them...🤷♂️🙂

Makes sense 🤔 I'll have my original helix 5 transducer left on the transom and I can use that for trolling if the one I posted doesn't work as well.... it would be nice to be able to use both at the same time and be able to compare? There'll be another transducer on the Ulterra Quest that will be available to use. It sounds Very Complicated!! 🤷♂️🙂 -

Thanks Sk8man! I usually fish for perch with fatheads. Just curious what hook size folks use. I used to use # 4 but lately I've switched to #6 & 8 gold Aberdeen....🙂

Thanks for sharing! I'm curious about the dual spectrum Chirp. But it sounds like from what you're saying the MEGA down/side image will do both types of fishing.

What Hummingbird-Minn Kota Helix 9 transducer do you guys recommend for trolling, perch fishing and jigging for lake trout? The choices are, Dual Spectrum Chirp or MEGA down/side imaging..
