  1. Rick, I'm limited to Owasco lake. Is there any benefit to go with the premium NE card?
  2. Thanks! Appreciate it!πŸ‘πŸ™‚
  3. What minn kota TM and Hummingbird set up do I need to have a follow the contour option? Is it built in or do I need an accessory?
  4. Thank you! Good info! I used to use perch eyes on Swedish pimples jigging for perch when ice fishing but that was 50 years ago and I had forgotten about using them...πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ™‚
  5. Yes! Fish are smart! They travel in Schools!!😁
  6. Rolmops, do you use this year round?
  7. Thanks for sharing. Do you use #2 hooks or just 2 dropshot hooks of ? size?
  8. Makes sense πŸ€” I'll have my original helix 5 transducer left on the transom and I can use that for trolling if the one I posted doesn't work as well.... it would be nice to be able to use both at the same time and be able to compare? There'll be another transducer on the Ulterra Quest that will be available to use. It sounds Very Complicated!! πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ™‚
  9. Why don't you like the above Transducer?πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  10. Thanks again Sk8man! πŸ™‚ At 80 im pritty much a fair weather fishermen..πŸ₯Ά Good luck ice fishing!!
  11. πŸ™‚πŸ‘I can't wait for spring so we can do some fishing. It seems so far away!! How do you like to hook fatheads?
  12. Thanks Sk8man! I usually fish for perch with fatheads. Just curious what hook size folks use. I used to use # 4 but lately I've switched to #6 & 8 gold Aberdeen....πŸ™‚
  13. What size hook do you guys use for perch and is there a best way to rig??
  14. Thanks again! 😎That was a screenshot from the helix 9 I was thinking about. πŸ‘
  15. Thanks for sharing! I'm curious about the dual spectrum Chirp. But it sounds like from what you're saying the MEGA down/side image will do both types of fishing.
  16. What Hummingbird-Minn Kota Helix 9 transducer do you guys recommend for trolling, perch fishing and jigging for lake trout? The choices are, Dual Spectrum Chirp or MEGA down/side imaging..
  17. Thanks Shakemsam!! I've spent hours trying to figure this out. My altinator only is rated at 18 amps. I'm thinking the safest way to go is with 22 lb lithium battery's wired 24v solely for the trolling moter and have them taken home to charge as needed... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  18. My 60 hp Mercury puts out 18 amps max would that even be enough to change 2 100 amp AGM deep cycle batteries? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  19. Than Thanks gator! We only go out when conditions are good. But our boat's a 20 ft Bass buggy pontoon with a canvas cabin. The Ulterra Quest is capable of 36 volts as well. Is there any advantages to go with 3 batteries to get more time?
  20. I want to get a new Ulterra Quest and have no easy way to charge Lithium battery's at our dockage. I'm rarely on the lake more than 4 hours. Can I get 4 hours from 2 100 amp AGM batteries wired for 24 volts useing spot lock or ipilot?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated πŸ™‚ Thanks!!
  21. Thanks again Frogger!πŸ™‚ I don't plan on doing anything till I find someone that can with confidence put a system together for me that works. I hope others chime in with a system that works well for them under the same circumstances.
  22. Frogger, I can get a small light weight generator to top it off occasionally... Won't useing the 18 Amp altinator prolong battery life when used ipilot while trolling?
