    End of august can be good and bad best bet is to keep a close eye on fishing reports for location u plan to fish. Depends on weather really normally in my experience if u are planning on three day trip come third week in august just in case and u should have fish in 100 to 120 fow they should be staging up good by then in big pods flasher flys work good j plugs and meat rigs if there are pods on bait u can really put them in the box but be sure to keep eye on fishing report good luck

    Fished 70 to 100 down on riggers crushed glow With green dot silver back pro troll frog fly . worrier alewife spoon .jack pretty girl and pro am fly dipsys ran 280 and 320 on 3 setting frog spin doctor and frog fly on one and two face spin doctor green black dot on other good luck go get um

    Weekend trip again ended up only fishing Saturday ....out of little salmon Long story short trip was a nightmare with the highlight besides fish being the cheater hook on atomic fly burried in my dogs paw! Fished 130-145 in front of the dunes little finicky but once found what they wanted it was pretty steady besides midday I fished morning then afternoon ended 8 for 21 because the reels on my dipsys are junk don’t think I’ll ever be purchasing another okuma reel but all in all hooked quite a few.

    Very true done a lot of fishing out here and never used sent if there is fish out there......besides color choices and depth your fishing your going to hook them but other say different just my opinion

    My wife and I 2 kids and my dog fished about 7 hours today nice morning wife landed first king ever so that was awesome.....and then the rest couldn’t get enough ended up 5 for 14 couldn’t keep em glued at the end but that’s fishin!!!

    I would get beet custom tackle holders that are adjustable and mount to you gunnel if u can

    Same way you would land a big pike ice fishing let it run out of your hand and then person with the pole starts fighting it again 9 out of 10 times By the time you start to hand line the are tired enough to net

    Yes with longer leads you have to hand line them in the rest of the way but u will take a lot more strikes with the longer leads just kinda a pain in the ass but definitely works
