How long of a run is it? I have an 18ft tracker and I'm a little nervous to get too far out. Looking at the map I figured around 5 miles to get to 150 ft of water. Sound right?

Hi all, Im new to the site. Been trolling it for a week or so and thought I would join in. I have a 2014 Tracker Targa V18 Combo w/150 Merc and a Yamaha 15hp four stroke kicker. Two riggers and a home made planer mast. Have fished Ontario for Spring Browns the last two seasons with good success and have fallen in love with the place. I have started to dabble with the Salmon fishing in the lake but need to get geared up properly still and I am still a little leary of going out too far in my little boat. I have caught a few zombies in the Salmon River estuary in the last few years. Home is Saratoga County NY. Closest good fishing is Lake George.
