    I had a good experience with this charter but it may be a little far away from Myrtle. Ranger bay boat put us on flounder on the intercoastal and then fished the breakwall for reds and even hooked a couple good sized shark. https://www.captainjot.com/

    We had heard rumors that guys were finding browns in 25fow so we pounded that area as well as the 6-15 range. Went right over 50 feet to go offshore for lakers...didn't think to look for browns there. Glad the kings are showing up!!

    Had another tough day searching for browns in the Mexico area on Friday. Marked enough fish to keep us chasing for a long time but no takers. Gave up eventually and headed out for lakers but they weren’t hungry either. Very inconsistent bite for us this year. Did manage one trophy that got us laughing though!!     The salmon was mixed in with the browns in about 10ft of water. We think it was a Coho.

    Had a good bite Saturday morning until around noon. Stingers with chartreuse patterns was our best bait. Took a burger break and came back out a couple hours later. The lake was laying down and so was the bite. Managed one more and then quit for the day. Sunday morning dawned with steel grey skies and light drizzle, in other words it looked really fishy! We washed lures for a few hours without moving a rod and headed home. Wonder where they went?

    Thanks to Hachimos tips we got into the lakers this morning. 175 fow west troll from plant. 8/10 hitting bells with peanuts and spin and glows. Stacked williams wobbler did well also. 10 ft over the bells Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    Thanks Hachimo. We struck out on browns then headed out to 100 fow in front of the plant. Picked up a couple lakers but couldnt find any after about noon.     I'll be fishing out of Mexico/Oswego this weekend and am hearing that the Brown fishing is tough right now so I'm wondering what's the best plan to target Lakers if we can't get the Browns to cooperate? I was thinking about 70 fow using spin and glows on the bottom. Is there a spoon bite as well? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Take a look at Tracker. I have a V18 Targa I bought in new in 2014. Came with a Verado 150. It fishes great in regular sized lakes (Lake George) but you do have to pick your days on some bigger water that is more prone to blowing up in the wind (Ontario, Champlain). Wide beam (101") and plenty of storage but it gets cramped with more than three guys. Top speed about 40mph. I bought rod holders, rigger mounts and bimini as well...all in about 36K. I even managed to convince my wife that it ia a family boat because it came with a screw in pole for water skiing! That hasn't been used yet

    Reading through the forum I notice a lot of scattered information on the launches we all use. Driving three hours to find out you can not launch your boat really sucks so I thought this could be a place for people to keep track of launch conditions. I have friends fishing out of Mexico tomorrow so I can update that location then. Good luck to all this season and thanks for the updates in advance.

    Fished the mouth Tuesday morning. One rip on a j-plug but the drag on the reel was locked down so the fish was lost almost instantly. Fished from 7-11 Went back out later and got away from the crowds. Got one king just about to the boat before he got off. Dipsy ff 100ft back over 70 ft. We did get a brown in to get the skunk off.
