  4. I looked at it on Saturday as promised....all good. No docks and low water but usable. Good luck out there this year!
  5. Going to take a look this Sat the 13th. Will post.
  6. Fished the mouth Tuesday morning. One rip on a j-plug but the drag on the reel was locked down so the fish was lost almost instantly. Fished from 7-11 Went back out later and got away from the crowds. Got one king just about to the boat before he got off. Dipsy ff 100ft back over 70 ft. We did get a brown in to get the skunk off. Fished 5 to sunset. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. We gave it a shot this morning...motored out to about 85 ft and set up. Lake kept building so I didn’t want to go deeper. Only lasted an hour or so and I called it. Had one chumming and it was getting nasty. Waves breaking over the bow of the tracker on the way in. Try again Tuesday. Good job logger! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Thanks logger. Ill try it in the morning. We have a few hookups in the river near the mouth. Quite a few jumpers. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Whats a good area to target out of Mexico? North to the dunes? I usually launch out of Oswego. I'll be out there Saturday morning and hopefully again Tuesday if the weather holds. Sunday and Monday looks rough so I'll try the estuary.
  10. Someone told me the exit of Selkirk shores right near the entrance to pine grove is closed. So when I'm camping there next weekend I'll have to tow the boat through the whole campground and out to the main road to get to the launch.
  11. No fleas Friday in Oswego. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. We are coming back the 11th through the 16th. Hopefully there will still be some fish in the lake!! Good times! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. We went 3/6 and two knockoffs on riggers. Fish were taken on dipsys ff 200 back over 150 fow. West of plant...launched in Osewego. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Thanks for the report...haven't heard much out of Oswego lately. Planning a Friday trip if the wind cooperates.
  15. At one point I thought about going out further because I saw several other boats fishing in what I guessed to be around 600 fow but the waves had been building all morning and I don’t have a lot of experience out there so I figured Id play it safe. By the time we left it was pretty choppy and we had a wet ride in. Waves were much bigger than the 0-.5 ft forecast...no surprise there!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Well we gave it a shot Friday and only got one small atlantic. Headed NW from the break wall and started in 100’. Marked fish right away but no takers. Ran a white meat rig at 100 and a carbon 14 at 80 on the riggers. FFs on the divers 200 and 250 back. NOTHIN! Mixed up the offerings and depths out to 350 fow until about 1pm when we called it. The atlantic took a 42nd spoon in silver. Not the best catch but a great day! Sure beats workin! Thanks again for all the advice. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Hey logger...is that second pic a juvinile king or an atlantic? Got one yesterday that looked just like it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. One small atlantic on silver 42nd spoon down 70 over 175. Scattered marks Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  20. Thanks for the help guys. I'll let you know how it goes!
  21. I've decided to take the day off from work Friday and make the 3hr trek to the lake. I have never fished the lake for salmon before apart from fishing the mouth of the Salmon river during the run. So the question is how do I get started? I have an 18' tracker with 2 manual riggers, I set up 2 rods with wire for divers and my buddy is bringing a copper setup. I have flasher flies, meat rigs and spoons. I do not have a fish hawk so Im guessing for temp. I can fish out of Mexico or Oswego but I really have no idea what to do after the boats in the water. Do you guys normally head out to a particular depth and set up or do you kinda cruise around looking for marks and then send out the gear? Also what would you send out for a starting spread?
  22. Im used to launching there during the run and the water gets full of mud and weeds etc. I guess because its so busy that time of year. Ive had my water intakes clogged full of crap and don’t want to damage the motor. Thats why I started launching in Mexico. Maybe its better now. 23. Have they done any work to the launch at Pine Grove? I stay at Selkirk Shores every year in September and I hate launching there because of the shallow water and muck bottom. Always sucking crap into my cooling channels. Also it's tough getting back on the trlr straight because it's so uneven. Last year I would drive down to Mexico to launch there. I have an 18' tracker.
