    Trolling is way different than fishing like that. I like both. Trolling is actually more work and small difference do make a difference. Knowing where you are as opposed to where you think you are is critical. Sitting watching a bobber and having a drink is more fun maybe till you get a 20 lb salmon on a wire diver.

    It really has made fish hawk obsolete. It does everything fishhawk does plus can check depth and temp on other lines. I make deliberate breakpoints after probe and/or bring it in on a diver or long line once I figure out where it is running. Knowing speed at depth is crucial. I wouldn't fish my buddies boat till he bought the new stick on transducer and power pack so we could run my probes on rigger and long lines. Go in with your buddies and the new kits you can move boat to boat. Gamechanger.

    At least yours is only off .1 to .15. 2 years ago caught LT 1st day. Scale says 12lb something. I think about running in cause never had a fish on leader board. Dont cause just get bumped eventually. Had problem with kicker so next day go to boat doctors for spark plugs. While there kid weighs fish 17 lbs. I am like my fish looks like that one. We were tired night before so never fileted yet. Throw on scale I am heavier than kid. My buddy who is not a tournament guy or fisherman says your fish grew 5 lbs overnight. This was right after all the crap up on Erie with those walleye guys. I exchanged scale at cabelas and dont trust it at all. Have second that is spring and not digital.

    Thanks for reports. Love getting details not just color but what depth fishing over what depth. Would love hearing direction and speed that was working for you. Have you tried strike assist? Lot more landed fish for us with often mouth getting pinned shut.

    I have done well with spin n fish with tuna packed in oil and a little fish scent. Caught more on those than meat.I am looking forward to trying the new brads skinny minis because you can take the belly off one and put it on another for "custom color". I run behind spin doctors.
