I ALWAYS change the hole on the spin doctor to the opposite side. The standard setting is for the least amount of whip.

Not that i approve of what he did (its actually pretty disgusting), but all of us men have done it in one way or another......LOL! I mean we have to buy them dinner and hope to get lucky that night. The smart ones use the dollar menu though! We have to buy them a diamond when we ask to marry them and hope to get lucky that night. Again, do u really think they can tell the difference between a real diamond and a good fake one?
AND YOU WONDER WHY I'M SINGLE!

Yeah, just read the previous post. The blacks release clips to the probe. Then there is a dropper cable about a foot long to the weight. Do we need a picture of that too ?

Personally I would rather see you save that money and donate it to the Pro-Am's this year for all of us to take!

Listen to these guys when they shout out the hot colors of ATOMIK flies. They truly are a great product. Last year was my first year running 4 wires, and by the end of the day every single one took a hit for the most part. Listening to the guys on the radio about how much wire is out when they are taking shots is important, but each set-up is different.
For example wire line diameter varies. A lot of guys will run Malin or Mason wire. I run American fishing wire and it is a thinner diameter than the two I mentioned above. You also have to take into consideration the pound test of their wire. I would say the swing is generally between 20-40lb wire dependent upon the boat with 30lb being the most popular. There are MANY times when guys are taking shots up at 100-130' of wire and mine wont go till I pump them out more or reel some line in. It really is a touchy feely kind of thing. You need to find the depth that is working for your boat. Each boat glides through he water differently and affects the tracking of its gear in the water. You ask how? I don't know, but why is it when two boats are running an identical pattern one is cleaning house? I think it is all about how that boat is riding or cutting through the water.
NEXT, leader lengths. I am one of the guys who likes them to be long enough where it makes it difficult to net fish . Seriously, I usually use a 10' leader behind the dipsey and I don't run a snubber AT ALL when I'm running wires.
Dispsey color seems to matter too. The basics would be black and clear. But you will rarely ever see my boat with less than 2 purple metallic dipseys in the water. No matter if I am on the east or west end of the lake.
I rarely run the dipsey on a 3 when I'm fishing over 50' of water. Usually its a 1 or 2 setting.

Late April early may can be fun there. The smallies will relate to the rock breakwalls. Plan on loosing a lot of jigs. You can crank them and jerkbait them too off these walls. There is a HUGE tourney there the 3rd Saturday of May. I dont think the harbor opens until that weekend, so call before you go down. Sturgeon Point is also closed. Your only option might be Dunkirk or the Niagar River.

How it is justified in the bass fishign world is if it can win you money it will pay for itself. Im gonna get me some of the new Lucky Craft Real Californias for bass fishing, but I also want to see the action of them at trolling speed. How much more realistic can you get with these swimbaits? They have to work.

Rich,
In a previous post you mentioned your Dad being able to fabricate rocket lauchers. I have a new boat coming in a couple of weeks. Do you think he would be interested in fabricating one for me? The boat is a hardtop. Joe "REEL DRAG"
He was able to at Kodak when he worked there. He is since retired.

One of those "U" shaped braces they used back in the day and some crimps.
-
Guy,
If you want to do either day this weekend let me know!

I've got the blacks directly to the probe and no issues. When I cut off a few feet of cable last year I never put that tape back over the release connection and I haven't lost any signal.
-
LOL.....I don't want to part with that unit! Sorry but I have to keep the boat as a package deal unless I get really desperate.
-
Team L.O.S.E.R.S could use a bigger boat!
-
Price is negotiable depending on what equipment you want/need. Boat needs to go to!

That sounds a lot better than what we heard from the biologist. So the 2008-2010 reg dont go live till October of 2008? Interesting, I never knew that. I would hope that everyone gets on the phone to the state and voices thier opinion.
J-Squid
in Tackle and Techniques

We were on the topics of squids on GLA when I pointed out another use for them. So, I might as well post it here for all of you guys to check out. I have run this with much success in the past. Instead of the hook harness on the j-plug run your squid through the plug. Sometimes the slightest little difference can make the day that much better.
