  1. What are the hours for the LOTSA show. The LOTSA site says 1:00pm till 7:00 pm other sites are saying 9:00am till 3:00 pm. I have a 4 hour drive so that makes a big differance when I get up!
  2. I had this same problem and it would come and go. I moved the cable that went to the unit and it started to work again. Then the next time I went out and it started acting up. The speed would read the temp was all over the place. Last weekend when I was getting the boat ready I took the time to unplug the cable from the back of the display inspected it and did not see any problems. Got to the lake and it was rock steady all day. I too have bare spots up to 6" long and was reading down to 110 feet. It must have had a poor connection. Hope this will work for you. They are a great unit and was I lost without it.
  3. That was a wet ride. I had water inside my boots up to my ankles. Good thing you talked those people out of going out. I wish that they would make the safe boating coarse mandarory. They don't teach common sense though . 4 foot waves and 1 foot freeboard = another search and rescue. Had a great time today lil troller.
  4. Good job! Sounds like lil troller has you hooked on the wire rods. He had to retrain me so that we could catch fish. Sounds like the new boat is working out for you.
  5. What were you running behind diver, Speed? line type and pound test? We started running divers last year and had flea flicker line on with the same results. We switched to Trilene 30# test and do not have that problem any more. Don't give up! Since We started using divers we are catching more and bigger fish. With that said, you must understand that you can and will lose some tackle and lil troller and I always joke about pleasing the tournament gods with a donation of tackle to the bottom. You also need quality swivels and I think that the fleas can foul a swivel sometimes.
  6. It was good to meet you Frisco! I'm a new member and had some problems with my account or I would have posted sooner. I had heard many tales of this "Eskimo Joe" and was in hopes of meeting him some day. I talked with him at the boat launch before day break while he was waiting for Frisco. If I had known that was Eskimo Joe I could have been picking his brain for what program to run that day. It was great fun to watch him at weigh in running around with his trophy and ten dollar bills flying out the top. He reminds me of my boy "lil troller"when he was young. He is in his late twenties and still has trouble sleeping before a fishing trip. It was good to see all the people from the forum. Wes
  7. lil troller , The size of lakers you have been catching lately you will need to use two hands.
  8. When I'm not out fishing with Capt. Steve, I'm a controller for a local dental lab. I am a licensed tax professional - definitely the busy season for my business. I have also returned to college for my MBA. Come to think of it, I may not have much time for fishing this season - Almost splash time!
