  5. Here's the link for entry forms for the Salvation Army derby. http://saithmusicprogram.airset.com/#_p ... ion%1Fhtml One thing we did this year is split the other trout catagory, they wil be Browns by themselves and Rainbow and Salmon together. Also recieved word that if this dosen't pan out better than last year it might be the last one. It's after the LOC derby and for a good cause. So step right up and sign up and help keep this alive. Splitshot115
  6. RR, You should, 90% of the time the winning fish are caught on the last day. This link should get you there if not Barney has entry forms. http://saithmusicprogram.airset.com/#_p ... ion%1Fhtml Splitshot115
  7. Probably about next week it'll be real quiet as the Salvation Army derby is the weekend after Labor Day. Nobody will give out info to the Honey Holes. Splitshot115
  8. FF, Have some weights at the house, yours if you want them. Get in touch with me on tuesday. Splitshot115
  9. Start at the point below the plant, not much going on around Myers as of last weekend. We started at Myers and went north the screen was pretty clear until we got just below the point with the green buoy. It was a steady pick from there. Like Traveling Man said things change rapidly with all the fronts that we've had come thru. Splitshot115
  10. Who are you tryin to kid RR, you won't give up your honey holes that easy. Splitshot115
  11. 88 heavy w/single fixed hook I think the other one is a 23 heavy single fixed hook. Splitshot115
  12. I usually order mine right from Sutton, you can get them at South Sore Marina and Seneca marine also. Pretty simple actually, as I said in the above post what equipment I use. Just get it on bottom and work it so it flutters, will usually put fish in the boat when other methods fail. Splitshot115
  13. Rollie, 325 should get you on bottom at 2.0 or less mph surface speed in 8o fow depending what size spoon you have on. Try to 1 3/4 oz Silver minnows they'll scrape bottom alittle quicker than the suttons but don't have as much action. Splitshot115 P.S. Hope the boat ran well.
  14. Chris, The lake is about 30 miles longer than Owasco and a mile or wider in spots. The fish on average are much larger than what I typicially catch on Owasco. As for the route numbers you need somebody else will have to chime in as I can't remember the numbers. The 8 to 10 lb test line will probably be to light due to the fleas, but last weekend they weren't bad with 30lb. Splitshot115
  15. I use a Cabelas DM45 with a Cabelas Whuppin Stick roller guide, just respooled one of them with 45lb test and got 740 ft on it with no backing. I usually use Opti copper, which is rated at 30lb test and 600 ft fit nicely on them with no backing. I like the Whuppin sticks as they have alot of back bone. Splitshot115
  16. Call Johnson outdoors which is Cannon, they'll ship them right to ya. I think they're about $10 ea. I called them and got mine there, had them in a couple days. Splitshot115
  17. Almost forgot to thank Traveling Man, as he purchashed the kids trophys last year, but we didn't have any kids fishing. This year we had Chowder's boy Elliot fishing. Thanks again Chris I think you helped make his day. Splitshot115
  18. I think Barney dropped the salmon cause he didn't want the rest of us to feel any worse. Splitshot115
  19. To All Had a great time excluding the weather and a few other details I'd rather not mention. I've got to give Chaos a big thanks for arranging for the door prizes with Bass Pro, so if you guys get to Bass Pro also thank them. We'll plan on a bigger and better one for next year complete with BBQ afterwords. After all we gotta losen the Rats grip on that trophy, He's going to think it's his for keeps. As always it's great to put names with faces and the fishing is an added bonus when you get to fish along with the likes of Stinger, Rusty Rat.and other members from the board. Bluemahi is learning the lake pretty quick.(he has a good teacher ) Looking forward to next year. Splitshot115
  20. Stinger, Will be at the lake this afternoon, so if we have anymore that sign in would you bring an updated list. Thanks Splitshot115
  21. "Best of luck (skill) to all especially the husband-wife teams." I resemble that remark. Splitshot115
