  1. Water came up 2 more inches last night. My neighbor lost one third of his dock. Losts of large floating debris. Be careful out there. I would imagine that they will impose a 5 mph speed limit today. RR
  2. There is crap everywhere. The lake is very very high. So high I couldn't put the boat in the lift and I had to move the jet ski form its lift to my boat lift. It going to be windy today and lots of people are going to lose docking so the debris is only going to get worse. The lake is so high that the level is now above the floor in my basement. I pumped out over 1000 gallons of water from it this weekend. Nothing can get ruined but its a PITA for sure. I hooked an 8 to 10 lb brown off the dock on sat but lost him quickly. The perch and gills are not in yet. RR
  3. 12 to 18 in of the wonderful white stuff arriving sunday! Just what I wanted! Maybe I can go skiing one more time. Good luck everyone (with your winter depression that is) RR
  4. Chaos, I can't do anything with LP until they open. RR
  5. The DEC treats the FL tribs. It depends on the water level of the creeks, the level of effectivness of the treatment. High water in the tribs is bad! We have had a few years lately where the treatment was usless because of high water and that is what you are seeing. RR
  6. When I lived in San Diego, I did a whole lot of tuna fishing. Those things would follow us out of the harbor for 100 miles. You would hook up a tuna and if one of those nasty things grabbed your tuna, all you got was a head. The captains used to try to run em over. One of em would shoot at em. He never shot at em but close enought to try to move em away. They are nasty nasty animals. They can take your leg off with one bite. **** all over the place too. Just Nasty I tell ya!
  7. The water is about 4 inches below summer pool as of this morning.
  8. Where? Not many laft on Cayuga.
  9. Nope he was going thru the trash at taughannock and I wanted to run a couple extra rods. He had a license though! Good one Glen! RR
  10. Very enjoyable morning to be out. We had a good morning. Started out finding a pile of Lakers and worked em for about an hour to no avail! Put the boards out and found some nice water that wasn't full of crap and did well on the browns. Cookie cutter size 2 to 3 lbs. No clips and no lampreys. It was great ot be out trolling again. Its just the beginning! Our first double of the day, just before relaese. RR
  11. Chaos, I'll scope it out no problem. I'll let sawbelly know as soon as he get up to the camp. RR
  12. I am not anti jigger, its just not my fav way to fish. No jiging allowed on my boat, but when I'm on another boat and the captain wants to jig, I don't have much of a choice. Thanks! RR
  13. Thats all I needed Hermit. Thanks. We know how to do it. RR
  14. I wil just drive over with my full cooler of fish. About a 10 min drive from my house. My boat is in my lift so I don't need to launch. Prolly the same for Sawbelly. RR
  15. Hermit, I only ask because my buds might want to jig a little, got any advice? Ok Stix, we'll give you a shout on 68. RR
  16. Will you be.....ahem, jigging? Hermit?
  17. Ok cool boat name is itchintafish. I'll put the radio on since I'm drivin. I always drive! Hermit, you still got the red boat? RR
  18. I will be out on Cayuga on sunday on my buds boat. Anyone else going out? RR
  19. Braid will work fine until the fleas show up. Then it useless. You don't need to put a twillie tip on until the original tip gets sawed off. You really need to set up a dedicated wire rod for deep dipsy use. Twillie tips are cheap! RR
  20. Yep the ice ran this afternoon. Lake has allready come up about a foot in 2 days. My lift is no longer dry! yea! This will prolly bring in a nice run of bows when it settles down. RR
  21. Clarke you realize that there is no money prizes right? When there is no money involved, I usually win. Glad you have come aboard for the butt whoppin! RR
  22. 1 man limit with the points is a great idea. However, I would like it if we had a small fee to get some sort of trophy or plaque for the winner. 5 bucks a boat ought to do it. I like the no money thing. Thats what the other derby's are for. This is for braggin rights only! :lol RR
  23. Yea I will if I ever get a weekend off from the band! Playing all the time! We agreed to cut it down for the summer though. RR
  24. Hermit, All you gotta do is is get 2 wire dipsy set ups and you are golden. Ya gotta try it. RR
  25. Hey Mike, No jigging allowed! You are gonna have to troll for em! RR
