  1. Thanks Rich. I've checked that link. Definitely good pricing. Thanks Splitshot. I've been in contact with Maniac. John
  2. Just upgraded my boat, and am looking to do the same for a depth/fishfinder. Do not want a gps combo. Looking at possible the Furuno 4100TM or 6100. Anyone use these? Or looking for suggestions on others. Don't want the rolls royce version, just a good dependable unit. John
  3. Sale Pending. Thank you.
  4. This is a great boat and ready to fish. I have all of the goodies including depth raider, electric riggers, GPS, etc available for an additional $1500. John
  5. Thanks. Did the search..some interesting reading. The one that I'm likely getting is a 2005, brand new. I got a referral from Dave Mull at Great Lakes Angler and talked with a guy in the Chicago area that is a big Evinrude "expert". Said by '05 the issues that you mentioned were cleared up. But he also gave some tips, such as making the dealer run the software upgrades while I watch and to request a printout of those, so down the road if I have any issues I will have proof of what updates were in. THe deal is just to sweet to pass, so even though I would have preferred a 4 stroke, I'm still getting this 2005 as a 'new' engine with 7 years of warranty. Oh....and I love the boat..... John
  6. Black North Inn hands down at the oak!!! Just ask the staff about the Dunkirk guys!!
  7. Wileys RIverside Marina is also good, but its farther up beyond the bridge. John
  8. I had previously posted about ETECs, turns out that the motor is actually a 225 DFI. Anyone have experience with these? Thanks. John
  9. Traveling man: Take a look at my Larson in the selling tab. Might meet your needs. John
  10. Borderline: I here what you're saying about the trolling speed. But even with the i/o I have now, I actually will run a bag, and then bump up the rpms a touch. Uses more gas, but I was told once that its better for making sure everything is circulating as intended. Figure to do the same on this boat. Knock on wood, no problems as a result.....
  11. I know its not what you want, but I have 3 Okuma Magda Pro 30's available that I would be willing to give a package price on.....
  12. Got a deal going on a boat with a 225 ETEC. Everything I've seen has been good, but had a guy tell me today that they will not take the extended trolling hours well, much like the old 2 strokes.
  13. Looking for any pros or cons on the bigger (225) etec's..... John
  14. Email sent. John
  15. PICS ADDED! Thanks Chad.

  18. Thank you but as you suspected, I'm not looking for a 21'. I do have a very preliminary deal in the works on a 23 so hopefully it will fly! John
  19. I agree with Billy V....if it comes with it I leave it on. 'Bout the only changes I made were last year on some of the new Dreamweaver Super Slims we were changing out the hooks for slightly larger ones, based upon the success of another local captain.... John
  20. Ray: I have no idea what they would charge or whatever, but have you tried Wiley's or 4 C's? I've used both places when I've been up there and they have both treated me well.... John
  21. I have a deal pending on the the dipsey combos. Thank you. All remaining rods and reels are still available. The LOTSA show is a 1 day show being sponsored in Lockport NY by the Lake Ontario Salmon and Trout Association. For more details, please check it on the web at www.lotsa.org. John
  22. Heading into season 4 with Fishlanders. I've been very happy other than no auto stop. John
  23. I have the following for sale: 2 Daiwa SK750HGL dipsey rods (10'/6") with twili tips, and each with a Daiwa Great Lakes 47 LC. Loaded with about 950 ft of 30lb 7 strand that was new last May. $60 each. 4 Okuma 7' 1 piece Blue Diamond BDC-701 rods. 3 are excellent, $30 each. The 4th is in excellent condition other than it needs a new top guide $25.00. 3 Okuma Magda Pro 30Dx Linecounters, used 2 seasons $35 each. 1 Charter Choice 9' planner rod model $20. All of these will be at the LOTSA show unless I sell them first, so if you are interested that would be a way to save shipping. John
  24. Thanks for the tip, Paul. We ran them with the blue they came with, plus 1 red bead. Really liked how they looked in the water. John
  25. I've grown to love the siggs when we're up at the oak in August. The Aqua Crinkle was new to us last year and we ended up either having them so beat up by the kings or losing them to breakoffs. It changes its appearance depending on light. Behind a white/glow spin doc.
