  1. Decided to hit the Lake in below feezing temps at 3am. Started out casting stickbaits on the points in less than 5 fow. I took a nice eye on my second cast. We were able to take 5-6 more before 6 when we went to the bait shop for coffee. Came back out and set up the jiggin' program. Took alot of nice fish from 3-7 lbs. A couple over 5 and two that were 7. :) I picked up a rod with 6lb test and a shad rap on and tried a few more casts whe n all the sudden the rod got heavy. After a few minute battle the video tell the rest of the site. check it out here. http://ardentangler.org/reports.html You will see the lil flash symbol , click on it. Back at it again tomorrow but not til 5am.

  2. Started jiggin on Lake Hopatcong at 630 am. Took a bunch of fish all the way up to the 5lb range. Great jiggin waters. Took all the fish on rapala Jigs. Stopped doing that at about 930 am and was bound and determined to troll some into the boat. It didnt happen, not even a release :(. These fish dont want to chase, there is bait everywhere. I havent given up yet. We are heading on the water at 3 am tomorrow to cast some sticks on the points in shallow water. Jiggin at day light and trying for a fish in the 8-9lb class. Here are a few pics. I tried to turn them around but photobucket got the best of me. Maybe bob will be nice enough to do so. :)

The video link is righ there titled "what not to do" It's not my week so far huh bob? :$ I'll be down for here from 3-6 days and we are going to shoot alot of video and shoot a tv show. Hopefully we will have eyes to show ya. Check this out http://ardentangler.org/reports.html

  5. Truth be known I think Bob sabotaged my boat. :) I did manage a walleye before picking Bob up at the dock. I was casting in 2-3 feet of water. It was great fishing and laughing with him today. It's days like this when it didnt matter if we had put a single fish in the boat. Great weather, beautiful fall day, and good company. Can I get an amen?

  6. Best advice is ask any question no matter how silly you think they might be. Guys on here are more than willing to help. In turn share any info/ reports that you come up with. Read the posts on here, alot of great info. Plan on fishing the tournies to have a good time and meet new people. Don't fish them to get rich. Making enough to pay for your tournamnet fishing is an accomplisment within itself.

  7. So walt, you found those fish that I was talking about in the morning when I spoke to you on the radio? Did you see how much bait and how many fish were in that area. I took a run down to the 111 after I spoke to you, the weeds were nowhere near as bad but there was nowhere as near as many fish either. I went back to where I started the morning and did well

  8. Fished 6:30 til noon. took 14 eyes, all between 17-22 inches. all off the boards with deep rr's in 35-43 fow. 1.8-2.3 mph. went in shallow water (3ft) to check my night casting spots and found some bait. It shouldnt be too long before it turns on at night in close.
