  1. I've got a quick question. What goes on in a Captains meeting that can't be stated in the application? It just seems kinda crazy with gas prices and all, that teams whodont plan on fishing out of mexico must attend. It is probably going to keep me from entering just for that fact that I dont think I will or any of my teamates will be available to make it in time. I kow i might be the exception and I am in no way critisizeing the tournament at all. I think it's excellent and a great cause. I can see a meeting during the pro ams because it's a 2 day event and most teams are staying at that port for the weekend. Could someone help me understand the crucialality of this?

  2. I'm new to I/O's. Im looking at a 23ft boat with a Mercruiser 488R 190hp. Is that a good motor? Plenty of power? Gas Guzzler? I know it has an 8 on the picture of the motor. Any help? Thanks fellas

  3. Ok I'm going to sum up the info here. For info and application call Jim Caldwell at 315-697-2087. Tell him Landshark sent ya.

It's on Oneida lake out of Marion Manor. One Prize per contestant. You can enter as many fish as you want though. Only 10 to enter. 1st is 100 dollars in each category. Pays down to 6th place worth 20. Not a big money tourney but a good cause and fun. Date is Aug 9,10. Fish judged on weight.

Let's see how many LOU members we can get out there. Maybe with enough interest we could do a lil BBQ on saturday evening. Whatcha think?

  4. quick question, was she pumping aqua? was the ol' gal peeing? If not you might have overheated it. When you turned the key it made no noise at all? If so, it's probably something eelctrical. New battery?, one you charged before you went out?

  5. :$ I decided to take a little bit of a break from chasing walleyes all over the state. The girlfriend and I decided to head to Oswego for my first King attempt of the year. Trolled around looking for fish and put a couple little coho in the boat. Then I happen to look at one of the rods and it looked like it picked up a log. No bounce just a steady dead weight. I popped the rod free and gave a tug. Felt like a log. All the sudden the log started pulling back. After a short battle I boated my first King of the year. Smartfish Dodger and an A-tom-mik flie. Now for the good part.

I didnt enter the summer loc because I never (except today) fish it during the summer session. Today was more of a boat ride for the g/f. I just wanted to get a lil pumped for the pro-am. Well that King I boated weighed (on my scale) 28lb 5 oz. Needless to say I was a lil dissapointed in myself. I took it over to Larrys about 5-6 hrs later and got it weighed in. Officially 27lb 4 oz. Here are the pics and feel free to kick me.
