68 is the popular channel on Oneida. You will find more guys chatting walleye on there than any other channel. The fishing is still very good. My biggest suggestion is get on the water way b4 the sun does. Get off the water by 11 or so. The best fishing will be over with. Maybe the biggest boating weekend of the year. That = spooked walleye. On the water by 4 off by 11.

Only? probably not! Mostly, without a doubt. They are often run off of bottom bouncers to help them reach bottom.

Fished fri, sat and sunday 6am til noonish. Had a partner friday and sunday. Boated 46 eyes. 7 of which were short and most in the 17-19inch range. A few just over 20 and a 23 1/2 and 26 incher. Lost a hawg that I estimated around 7 lbs today 20ft behind the boat . Weather was good for all 3 days. Looked like most guys were jig fishing. I never dropped a jig. 3day weekend ahead and im trying to decide where to go and what to fish for. Might go back to Henderson

I just think that you might not want to report the outlaws until you are legal yourself. I agree that " the other guys" hurt the fishery more. Walleye however , are a delicate fish and time in the livewell can kill them even if they appear to swim away fine. To your defense alot of people do not know that the culling of walleye is against the law. By all means call if you know someone is abusing the law. They should be ticketed.
Im trying to find it on the dec site but here is how i found it stated.
The fish an angler catches and immediately releases uninjured will not be counted as part of the daily limit for that species.
A person may continue to fish for a species while in possession of a daily limit for that species provided all fish of that species subsequently caught are immediately returned to the water. Special provisions are made for largemouth and smallmouth bass.

Can anyone tell me about the Shangri-La Campground & Marina in The Chaumont area. Myself and 5 others (2 boats) are heading up the weekend of the 21st and 22nd to chase some wallys. She said they have an efficency that sleeps 6 for 75 a night. Is anyone familiar with this place before I set this in stone? The fishing should be decent right?
Thanks Fellas

I only run them in the spring. Once the walleye are in their summer period, I just work the deep water with diving sticks. It produces the most fish for me and typically the better size fish as well. I use a different bait than you though. What area do you fish
-
do the same, all summer long

no need for weight, if you have planer boards run them off of those. church makes some small ones that work well for that. another thing, vary your speed as far up to 2.3 or so. keep the bate some erratic or keep one on your hand. Pump it , drop it back, pump it drop it back, etc... hope it helps

i think musky bob and are going to test drive this for the next 2 years. please leave it in a slip in oswego for us. nice boat. i have a 17ft lund that i use for wallys but im thinking of going to an 1800 since u have to have a 18 to fish the pro ams. is that a safety rule bob?

I think things are running a little behind. The fish should be around. Work the river a lil bit. If you do, be careful of those fishing on shore. Walleye will spread out throughout the whole harbor. I took the biggest walleye of my life between the lighthouse and the east detahed wall in 30 fow. The great thing about fishing up there is that you will not catch a good number of fish, but if you do hook up expect to have your camera ready because it's no average walleye. good luck
Some pics of kids I took out trolling and bassin(all fixed!)
