  1. We went through there last night. The boat i was in was a 23 footer. Our depth finder was having problems. When we came in(West side) we had no problem coming through. On the way out, we hit bottom at the end of the east side pier. Luckily no damage. I would keep to the West side for sure!! YT were u out in the blue bass boat by the bayside last night?   2. I'm on West Port Bay Road. I'm about the 9th cottage down after the bend where the culvert pipe is. We have the cottage the tree fell on about 6 years ago. After i responded this morning, i got to thinking about when Norm used to keep the channel open. Do you remeber what year the crane fell in the water?
  3. That is welcome news at this time of year Do they still try and have the channel open by April 1st? How is the ice on the bay?(Bullheads soon???)I've had a residence there all my life, and you guys do an excellent job keeping the channel open
  4. I bought a new pair of Cannon Electric downriggers this winter. Just looking for ideas on wiring them up. Does anyone use in-line fuses? Also I run 2 batteries that are wired to a battery switch. Do you wire the dowriggers to that battery switch also? Thanks for any information!

  6. I had a Blue Fin that had leaky rivets. My cousin turned me onto this product call Lab Metal. I believe Alvin Products makes it. It is a paste that u mix up and apply over the rivets. This stuff hardens up like a rock very quickly! It worked really well on it. If your interested PM me and i can tell u where to get it.

  11. A friend of mine just purchase a 1983 Citation VC230. The side vent window is broken on it. Does anyone know where i might be able to locate another one? Are there any Boat Junk Yards around? Thanks!
  12. Welcome Aboard! My name is Screamer and i fish mostly out of Bear Creek. I was new over a year ago. There is alot of knowledge on this site. They are a great group of fisherman!
  13. Just my 2 cents worth. I'm wondering if some kind of fundraiser(Chicken BBQ,etc,,,,) would help? It seems that there is really strong support for Salmon fishing across New York State, therefore it could draw a really good turnout.
