  4. Slow and quiet day so far. I have only heard about a dozen shots all day. 1 doe for the freezer for my hunting party so far. Cameras have shown better activity in the pm so now we sit and wait. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Would you believe me that's is 7:39 and I just heard my first gun shot of the day??? Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Good morning LOU all the way from the North Carolina gun opener! Sitting overlooking an amazing 8 acre clover plot with acorn dropping oak trees inside of it and along the perimeter also and a timed corn feeder on both ends. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. My bow was setup by Phil Race of Indian Mountain Archery. He was a huge fan of helical 4 vain fletching. It was designed to get the arrow spinning which helps accuracy and consistent arrow flight. Same theory as a rifled gun barrel. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Food, cover, water. If you have all three then you have deer year round. Food plots are great. I would concentrate on creating prime bedding and then allow it to be an untouched sanctuary Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Yup. Gladly part of Phil's "communist" society. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. Thanks for all of info guys. I took a ride to the new Field and Stream store in Henrietta today and purchased some Nocturnal lighted nocks. I put them on a brand new set of carbon express piledrivers. After a slight pin adjustment, which I believe was related to heavier fetching on the new arrows, they seem to shoot virtually the same as my standard nocks.10, 20, 30, 40 yards. 15. the topic of discussion today is "lighted nocks"... Its looking like Im about to add Nockturnal Lighted Nocks to my quiver. I think anything that helps you know shot placement and also helps you find your arrow after the shot is a big plus. you guys hunting with them? yes or no? are they worth the money? suggested brands? problems? other advantages?
  16. Terrible hunting conditions but perfect day to hang a new stand. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. The last few seasons i have shot Slick Trick 1" standards. I am currently shooting 100 grain slick trick 1 1/8" magnums. I made the switch to maintain the same arrow flight but a bit bigger cutting diameter. http://www.slicktrick.net/ Im looking for " the grass is greener" broadhead recommendations?
