  1. November 5 am 44 degrees SW wind 5-15 Cloudy Rain/drizzle Not the most comfortable morning in the woods with the rain but it's November and the time to be in the woods. No doubt some breeding happening. I saw two doe fawns by themselves today on opposite sides of the field. One acted like a perfect decoy for me for about an hour. I did see some relentless chasing today by a 1.5 year old buck. He must of chased this poor doe around for an hour or so. I did see a mature buck (didn't get a great look but he was outside the ears) cut across the field but he was 500 yards or so out of range. Another nore... 13. November 3 am 41 degrees SW wind 5-10 Cloudy Pretty quiet sit. Had a lonely doe fawn meandering around the woods for most of the morning. Camera showed three decent bucks in the area so it's easy assumed that mom is getting poked. Had a small buck come by about 830 and that would be it for the am. November 3 pm 44 degrees W wind 5-10 Party cloudy Hunted the same property this afternoon with a similar outcome. One small doe at sunset made her way through. Bumped a buck and doe walking out. Couldn't see the rack but it wasn't a 1.5 year old. All in all, very quiet on this property today. Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. Update... Went in late this morning for a final search. Bumped the buck about 50-60 yards from where I lost blood yesterday morning. Crazy to think he's been there since late Friday night but I'm sure I found him in his bedroom. He seemed to have a slight limp but managed get up and trot off. My guess is one lung and only one lung. All the evidence points to just that. I need to get my head screwed on straight and I'll be back at it tomorrow morning. This has been killing me for almost two damn days. I guess I feel better knowing he is still alive versus not finding him but still... Thanks for the support guys! 21. Wish I had good news but I dont. Yet. Went in and got on a decent blood trail. Of course it is the thickest part of the property and trail dried up. I really didnt want to push on too far without blood. I backed out and called deer search ny. Waiting to here back.
  22. Just woke up! LOL! Cant fall back to sleep. Got a solid 4 hours in though.
  23. November 1 pm 42 degrees Insane west winds becoming West wind 5-15 Partly cloudy Well like I said I had no plans on hunting today and working late but that weather forecast go to me. Hunt the weather! Those crazy winds looked to be calming down for a pm sit so I snuck out early and was in the stand about 415ish. About 430 or so I had a doe sneak behind the stand. She was followed closely by a stud of a buck. 20 yards broadside on my left side but no chance of getting a shot off. Just too thick in there so I watch him disappear. Trailing close behind them was a 1.5 year old. I jumped on the grunt tube thinking maybe we had a big breeding party but didn't notice any others. After that I am jumpy. I'm watching my left side and over my left shoulder closely. About 5, I notice a deer walking out into the field. 40 yards or so. Shooter. He turns and walks right to me. He actually let me grab the bow, stand up, and turn. I let an arrow fly once he is quartering away. I see the arrow hit and then go flying. I wacked him and he broke it off. He ran off about fifty yards. He stopped and stood in front of my camera. He let the camera get some nice shots. He very slowly walked out into the middle of the field and slowly walked almost back to where he came out. Giant, slow circle. He then turned and trotted down the field about 75 yards and disappeared into the woods. All the evidence makes me feel good about the shot. Looking forward to a sleepless night.
