Fat chicks are better than going home with the morning newspaper.

Browns are a late fall spawner whose innards are bloated with spawn. Rainbows shut down feeding in the spring till they dump their eggs also.

Why not offer the property owner a lease fee to fish from his tax paying property. Money overcomes a lot of resistance.

Less than 20 minutes for a lightweight type 5 construction building.
Type 1 is different . That being said the fire load was extreme from the fuel on board.
It would have taken handcuffs and chains to get those firefighters to leave before the towers came down.
Have you walked the walk or are you arm chair quarterbacking?

THIRTY YEARS OF FIRE SERVICE has taught me that many firefighting deaths and awards were self decisions that became more fatalities than necessary. The media thrives on reporting heroic? deaths.

Hatchery raised fish are raised in a warmer well water source. This increases their growth rate so when they are released into the lake they survive better than undersized stream hatched fish. The smaller fish are more likely to become forage for all the Lake Ontario fish. Fishing for salmon is more dependent on hatchery supplied fish and an adequate supply of the well water.

There a lot of dairy farm owners seeking assistance for property tax payments. Simply contact them, my son picked up 500 acres of cornfields along with wooded areas.

The loss of hatchery production can be offset by greater trout stocking.

That is an upwelling of deeper cold water which replaces warm surface water that moves offshore with offshore winds.

Just troll downwind. Stop, clear your lines and run upwind and get back to trolling. Unless you have a good wheels person on the wheel continuously, your boat turns sideways too often.

A fire fighting rule is if a fire is ongoing for twenty minutes, the building is structural unsound and evacuation is necessary and entry is ended. This rule was not enforced by senior officers.

Troll with the wind. Going into or sideways with the wind requires a dedicated wheels man who pays complete steering control. Pull your lines and run back into the wind to go back over a hot spot. The time lost untangling lines is not worth it if you do not have a full time driver on the wheel.

Antsy here as well. Heard they sre trickling into the Salmon River with a few catches here and there. Im guessing there might be a few stragglers staging off Olcott? Debating wether or not to try off the Olcott piers in the early morning just to relieve the itch.

When the colder nights turn the tributaries down to 45 degrees, the runs will begin. -
tap rigger booms, rock boat side to side if lake is flat, and make repeated aggressive turns. trying to eat something or going to the front of the boat are also both deadly
Start pulling lines?

years ago we used to troll the Black river at midnight and did very well about 910/9/25 ish
Cold August nights lower stream temperatures and the trout and salmon are staging offshore awaiting the colder water. September nights will begin the spawning runs up small streams.

Who in Braddock's is cutting them? That's going to impact ice fishing, too.
They can spread all over and you could be fined for not washing them off your trailer boat.

Unfortunately, we are more likely to end up in the pen ourselves if we take "consequences" into our own hands, no matter how temping or righteous it seems. The world isn't just. Scumbags get away with evil sh$t. That's why we all need to watch each other's back and be aware of what's going on around us. At some point, somebody at the marina had an opportunity to intervene.
Dealing with alcoholics you can expect that. It is best to report it to the police , they can pick up some court pay to fix things up.

Boat fired usually happen after Labor Day.

Lots will depend on the particular conditions that day - upwelling could change what the fish demand. In general, if you are used to running divers, then a high-low setup with two per side on wire line is an easy and effective setup, combined with two riggers. Heavy current may impact whether you really want to run that second set of divers though. There's always the possibility of stacking the riggers, and this time of year you can find fish throughout the water column, so it makes some sense. Running copper or leadcore off the boards together with divers can be challenging (the dreaded wire-copper tangle), but is undoubtedly effective - but if the temperature is deep, 400 and 500 coppers require some big boards.
Reels for rigger rods - size 20 or 30 Daiwa or Convector 45 (which you seem to have), with 25 lb test line and a fluorocarbon leader attached via a high quality microswivel.
There are many options that will work. The best way to learn is to go out with someone who knows what they are doing. If you are only going to fish one day later this month, why not charter? Just a suggestion. If you already have the setups and know what you're doing, then good luck and go get 'em!
With big kings around 30 pound line and leaders is recommended.

Dipseys have a tilt problem with high drag lures. The pull of some deep divers pull the angle of the diver up reducing its depth considerable . You
May be better off using a bottom bouncer to hold deep water depths.

Yes Keith luckily we had just a very small chop and it still took us 42 minutes to get back in at 3/4 throttle:lol: Even saw a freighter out in the shipping lane. I was thinking maybe I should have brought an application for Canadian citizenship with me (just in case)
Nothing on the screen? Most graphs are set up for shallow water fishing. Deeper fish will not show up in the screen unless your graph is set up to probe deeper with its frequency and pulse length changed.

I keep a journal for hunting and another for ice fishing. Just haven't gotten around to getting a nice one for the boat. It will happen thou. Lol
One day off the Burlington Bridge with prevailing SW winds, crystal clear water was on the surface. A cold water upwelling. A few miles east green water met the clear water. Plankton rich warm water with plenty of baitfish present. We set lines about a half mile inside the green water and the best fishing of our lives happened.

Thats pretty cool. Thanks for posting. Lookin like I’m goin for a long ride Saturday. Lol
Another condition is when the lake water reaches its densest.Around 39 degrees the lake is the same temperature, top to bottom. The heaviest water sinks to the bottom and the surface water cools till it becomes frozen ice .The. Bottom water stays warm so the fish survive during the winter. But the dissolved oxygen on the bottom decreases and the fish suspend upwards till the spring thaw adds freshly oxygenated water to the l bottom of the lakes.

New Boat Fenders by Impact

The old cylindrical design were from old salts braiding old lines into fenders. Modern tug boats have solid rubber molded to hang on the hulls and fastened permanently so as to free up deck space.
