  1. They are custom built to order Adam. You can find some info on his website but you can contact Captain Ernie or myself to discuss. We aren't able to build too many during the fishing season but can squeak a few out. I have pretty much every model we make at my house if you ever wanted to check some over.

BTW, boat looked good on the water the other day. That was me that yelled over to you when you were pulling up to the dock.

  2. Fishing was a little slow for us. One white marlin to the boat in the first half hour. Missed one blue marlin later in the day. The boat was amazing. This is the flagship yacht for Volvo Penta and their IPS engine and control system. Uses about 40% less fuel than equivalent boats with standard inboards. Cruised at 30 knots.

  3. Fished from 7 to 10 this morning. Drifting harnesses around Bouys 123 and 121, 32 to 40 fow. We stayed on the outside edge of the pack and caught 11, 6 keepers. Pretty much all on various patterns on copper blades. Plain, red edge, confusion w/ red beads. Been doing pretty well the last few weekends as well. Hot blade last weekend for us in the sun was the clown pattern.

  4. I have a 55# Ipilot on my 17 foot Mirrocraft. I haven't used it in high winds or current yet but have run it in fairly calm conditions. The cruise control works awesome, the autopilot wanders a little bit but not bad. Have't tried the anchor function or the track function yet. Really like for what I use it for - mostly drifting crawler harnesses on open water. I really like the wireless remote over the foot pedal.

  5. We run a fair bit of copper and what has worked well for us is to terminate your braided backing to the Spro swivel using a Figure 8 loop knot. Tie the loop with a large loop about two feet long, then half hitch the loop through the swivel. When you hook on your release (Scottys for the big boards, Offshore OR-18s on the inlines) you hook it onto the doubled line on the loop. Seems to hold great. There are a few vidoes on the Fish Doc site about rigging copper, I don't think the loop knot tip has made it on there yet though.

  6. I've actually never been on one but just basing my comment on three friends that have or had these boats. All three have indicated to me that when on plane, the boat likes to roll and is very unstable. Pretty much the comments made were that everyone on board can not move or breathe wrong when on plane, or else the boat likes to go on its side. One incident was on perfectly flat seas and they came on to about a one foot high wake. Boat actually went on its side and my friend was hanging on for dear life looking straight down at his son in the passenger seat. Scared them so bad they sold it right away. Wasn't trying to bash anyones ride, just saying take it for a ride before you buy and make sure you like it.
