  1. ITS NOT A BAD RIDE BY WATER, WAVES PENDING.... 13-14MILES I BELIEVE

OSWEGO WILL BE CRAZY - BUT THE WORST OF IT WILL BE TOWARDS DARK WHEN THE FIREWORKS ARE.

YOU CAN PULL INTO MIKE'S MARINA (GAS DOCK) DROP THE COOLER AND A TEAM MEMBER - BUT YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DOCK AT THE GAS DOCK -

SO NOT SURE OF WHAT YOU CAN DO FROM THAT POINT?

  2. After a long ride from Mexico Bay with Spoonfed out to Sodus on Thursday

waves 4-5 maybe even a 6 (4 hours) missed a couple extra hours of pre-fishing- But, once we got to where we were going we were into the kings pretty well!

After another bumpy - stormy day on Friday the decision was made to run.

    And run we did!

Saturday was a nightmare seemed like 15 or 20 fish to box 6.

Just one of those days where the would cooperate

Anything that couple happen - happened - just the most random things, who knows what was going on- bad luck is all we can say

but we stuck together and loaded our 6th in the box by 12 or so and tried for the Laker - No Good on the Laker Saturday. (7th at the weight in).

Sunday we ran again - little rougher on the run Sunday morning.

I think we had six by 7:30 or 8 - but with the new rules and excellent coaching by Glen - we got to pick and choose our box.

Put our last King in the box by 10:30ish (15lbs or so being our smallest)

Set up, tried to set up for our laker - and for me being fairly new to big water fishing the rigger next to me was slowly flexing (i thought i had wrapped the last rigger onto the other cable) then i figured it out - it was a laker!!! First Laker for me. Back to the dock for weight in by 11:30 or so

With Excellent team work and a knowledgeable captain we jumped to the top on Sunday. What a ride back to Mexico Bay Sunday evening after the ceremony!!! Still calculating waves heights - but could probably agree to an 8 or so out there at times.

    Thanks again Glen & Chris

  4. I've heard that- my first trip out west- it was a good trip we did some fish but not what we expected....

We were marking lots of fish like everyone else -

but how crazy can it drive you when you can see them come from 50 feet down to your rig - sniff and drop back down-

    just about went nuts!

nice to have quality electronics to allow you to see what i've been missing

Mike & Kevin are both real good guys as well as bob at the marina - quality group of guys

  5. Here’s a recap of the Niagara Pro-Am for TEAM IRISH KNOTS (Am Division)

Headed out Wednesday evening for the Wilson Boatyard Marina from south of Syracuse

12 miles onto I-81 blow a tire (rush hour)……… not a good start

Had a spare – got it changed like a NASCAR pit crew and back on the road

Hour and a half later I-90 - Tire number 2 goes ….. No spare anymore

Boat US membership with the trailer program saves the day

Within 30-45 minutes they had found us tires so I got three!!!

Had 4 new tires on before we moved the boat again

FYI - all tires looked good - obviously weren't

I check them, cleaned them and checked them again but obviously

missed the dry rot in the treads

Boat US Well worth it – (the membership – saved me $400)

After watching traffic go by for three hours we finally got the tires switched out and back on the road

Made it to Wilson around 2:30am

    Practiced Thursday & Friday

Fished the Pro – Am Saturday and did 5 fish – one small steelie we had to put back, finished with 4 at the weight in (fished 80 to 250) Irish Knots custom Quinlan saved the day doing 3 of the 5 for us

Fished Pro-Am Sunday and went to weight in with 3 fished 120 to 225 fow

We finished 18th out of 41

We were pleased with that for little experience going into the tourney– but could have been better!!!

Good time great weather and flat waters

Wilson is a nice place - hope to make it back soon!!!

the guys at the Marina and the docks were great to talk to you thanks for making a good weekend better!

Good to meet some of the guys on the board this past weekend

Made it back home with no problems
