  1. Yow!! I hope not Brian....... She will not be happy
  2. Foster, yes, she also had the 16th Place Laker at 16.2 in the Spring LOC. She is really hooked on the fishing. We usually get out together once during the week and both weekend days. I do not believe she has lost a King yet this year. See you on the water.
  3. Thanks Rob, for a person who never fished lake Ontario until last summer Cindy has done real well.

  5. Keith, thanks for taking the time to post today's activity. Good to read the Kings are still active. I plan on going out this evening if the weather permits.
  6. Optiangler, I believe your Cabela setups will do fine. However, I feel the 7 foot rods you plan on using for dipsy's may not do it for you. Most dipsy setups incorporate a 10 foot rod due to the pressure put on the rod buy the dipsy. Of course you can always try it and see how you make out. I use Mason wire on my dipsy set ups. The wire allows for deeper running dipsy's but you need to realize there is no stretch to the wire so you need to be concious of that when playing fish. There is a fleet of charter boats in the Habor on the Hotel side of the river. Most of them will be happy to show you their setups as far as rods.reels etc goes. Don't be too intrusive and they may offer you more information. I am sure there are other fishermenon this site that may offer you more suggestions. Good Luck and have a great vacation.
  7. Fostern, sorry I missed your posting. If it makes you feel better the wind was out of the north with 2-3 and an occasional 4. This was about 3:30pm I do think it calmed down further as the evening progressed. I was going to take my grandson out but decided to stay dockside and had fun on the rock bass, perch and blue gills. He had a blast. See you on the water.
  8. Clambelly, great report for your first time on the lake. It must have been fun landing a double alone. Great job!
  9. Brian, great report. I was out with Rebel in the evening on the 14th and found the temp. band to be just of bottom at that depth. We moved off a bit and took some steelies down 80 ft. The copper setup is fast becoming in vogue and seems to be effective on Kings. I know it is used quite a bit at the East end. Guys do get upset when someone does not realize how far back from a boat it is running and tangles cables with the copper. See you on the water.
  10. Persistence will be fishing out of the home port of Sandy Creek, Hamlin. Good Luck to all.
  11. albig, nice looking catch! Glad to read you did well.
  12. LTtroller, sorry to read you had a bumpy trip but good to read that you boated a nice king. Thanks for your posting. I plan on going out late afternoon. Perhaps conditions will improve by then.
  13. School Master, Great Job! One fish is all it takes for this derby and it looks like you caught a dandy!!! Jeremy glad to see you representing Sandy on the leader board. Great Job guys.
  14. Brian, a couple of my clients actually got married on my deck a few years ago. So I will offer the deck to you. We can even string some cowbells if you want Congrats again.
  15. Ron. I believe that I was just outside of you on Saturday morning. If it was you were alone and it looked like you were having fun bringing a couple of fish to the boat.
  16. Scott, do not give up the long water. I was out there Sunday morning in 350 to 400 and did well on Kings and Bows. High divers 120 out and shallow downriggers 25 to 30 feet down. Spin docs took all the hits. Spoons were not producing.
  17. Scholl Master, after speaking with you I decided to drop in at the 130 level.. Second rod in fired, boated a 20+ King.30 minutes into a West roll a diver fired. While bringing that one to the boat a rigger rod fired both fish were again 20+. As I was clearing rods for the ride in. the last rod in, a diver, fired with another good King. Did not really mark much. The fish were high. Deepest rod was 60 down, divers out 130 . NK Blk/GR/Glow and a Glow SD with Gr. Fly took the hits. I will be back out tonight weather permitting.
  18. Fish Bandit, there is a business in the city next to JayVee Tackle that has all the hardware you need including floats. Also there is a business in Victor that installs docks. It is on Rt. 96 before you get to the town proper. Sorry I can not come up with the names. I believe our neighbor Chris has done business with the company by JayVee. If you wish you can come to the house and look at my dock for an idea on how to build them yourself..
  19. Hey Tom, nice job. Sorry to read about all your equipment issues but I am sure you will cure those. The pattern has been that the Kings hit well until about 8:30am then go to a slower pick. About 1pm they kick back in and then slow until evening. Of course there are always the exceptions. I will be out Wednesday evening, if you are out give me a call.
  20. Hijinks, nice first run. It is always fun when you hit two fish right from the start. Good Luck with the new rig.
  21. Mike, it looks like things are status quo off Sandy. I will be out during the week and will be looking for that $4 reward I was not out over the weekend but planning to get out Wednesday evening. The guys I spoke with all did good this weekend. Thanks for posting your report.
  22. Hey Jax Great report. It is good to see the fish are still at Sandy. I was not out over the weekend but will be out during the week. The giuys I talked to also did well. It looks like this weather pattern is going to settle in for at least a week so things should hold up fairly well. Thanks for posting your report.
  23. Hey Tom,Ray and Bob. Good to meet you guys and it was great to see that you guys fishinshed in the top 10 in your first Pro/Am. You should be proud of your accomplishment. Hope to see you around Sandy and in future Pro/Am's.
  24. Gambler, it must be the laker juice that is in your tackle box!!!
  25. Hey guys! I have not been on the sight in a few days as I have been up in Oswego fishing with Rebel. Jerry mentioned that the salmon listing was put under Freedom Charters the next morning. If you all of you knew the long bantering history between the long time Sandy Creek guys you would understand that, as Jerry stated, it was just another joke on us. The paperwork was listed correctly but SOMEWHOW the fish ended up under Freedom Charters -- right Capt. Bogart. Gary is now one up on Jerry and I, however, paybacks can be great fun. Good luck to all those fishing the Sodus Pro/Am. We will be there doing our thing.
