  1. School Master, Great Job! One fish is all it takes for this derby and it looks like you caught a dandy!!! Jeremy glad to see you representing Sandy on the leader board. Great Job guys.
  2. Brian, a couple of my clients actually got married on my deck a few years ago. So I will offer the deck to you. We can even string some cowbells if you want Congrats again.
  3. Ron. I believe that I was just outside of you on Saturday morning. If it was you were alone and it looked like you were having fun bringing a couple of fish to the boat.
  4. Scott, do not give up the long water. I was out there Sunday morning in 350 to 400 and did well on Kings and Bows. High divers 120 out and shallow downriggers 25 to 30 feet down. Spin docs took all the hits. Spoons were not producing.
  5. Scholl Master, after speaking with you I decided to drop in at the 130 level.. Second rod in fired, boated a 20+ King.30 minutes into a West roll a diver fired. While bringing that one to the boat a rigger rod fired both fish were again 20+. As I was clearing rods for the ride in. the last rod in, a diver, fired with another good King. Did not really mark much. The fish were high. Deepest rod was 60 down, divers out 130 . NK Blk/GR/Glow and a Glow SD with Gr. Fly took the hits. I will be back out tonight weather permitting.
  6. Fish Bandit, there is a business in the city next to JayVee Tackle that has all the hardware you need including floats. Also there is a business in Victor that installs docks. It is on Rt. 96 before you get to the town proper. Sorry I can not come up with the names. I believe our neighbor Chris has done business with the company by JayVee. If you wish you can come to the house and look at my dock for an idea on how to build them yourself..
  7. Hey Tom, nice job. Sorry to read about all your equipment issues but I am sure you will cure those. The pattern has been that the Kings hit well until about 8:30am then go to a slower pick. About 1pm they kick back in and then slow until evening. Of course there are always the exceptions. I will be out Wednesday evening, if you are out give me a call.
  8. Hijinks, nice first run. It is always fun when you hit two fish right from the start. Good Luck with the new rig.
  9. Mike, it looks like things are status quo off Sandy. I will be out during the week and will be looking for that $4 reward I was not out over the weekend but planning to get out Wednesday evening. The guys I spoke with all did good this weekend. Thanks for posting your report.
  10. Hey Jax Great report. It is good to see the fish are still at Sandy. I was not out over the weekend but will be out during the week. The giuys I talked to also did well. It looks like this weather pattern is going to settle in for at least a week so things should hold up fairly well. Thanks for posting your report.
  11. Hey Tom,Ray and Bob. Good to meet you guys and it was great to see that you guys fishinshed in the top 10 in your first Pro/Am. You should be proud of your accomplishment. Hope to see you around Sandy and in future Pro/Am's.
  12. Gambler, it must be the laker juice that is in your tackle box!!!
  13. Hey guys! I have not been on the sight in a few days as I have been up in Oswego fishing with Rebel. Jerry mentioned that the salmon listing was put under Freedom Charters the next morning. If you all of you knew the long bantering history between the long time Sandy Creek guys you would understand that, as Jerry stated, it was just another joke on us. The paperwork was listed correctly but SOMEWHOW the fish ended up under Freedom Charters -- right Capt. Bogart. Gary is now one up on Jerry and I, however, paybacks can be great fun. Good luck to all those fishing the Sodus Pro/Am. We will be there doing our thing.
  14. Mike, our speed was 2.1 to 2.5 mph. The current seemed to be a little more severe out in that 90 to 120 depth. We concentrated on following the bottom contour which seemed to maintain a consistent current even on humps and drops. The browns we caught were good looking fishing. They ranged from 4 to 11 lbs. We usually sit on 72 in the Sandy area.
  15. Mike, yes that was me. We had a good pick all the way from the nose to Sandy. I believe I saw you net a fish just before we pulled lines to go in. How did you end up? Fishinman, I could not get the right speed either on that West troll on Sunday but it all changed when we started the East troll. I hit two quick Browns three minutes into the troll and then it was good all the way to the creek. I finished about 11am. I live on Sandy, three houses South of the Parkway bridge on the West side. If you put in at the state launch just take a peak upstream and you should be able to see the boat if I am not out. Stop by if you get a chance. Good to read that you caught a Kings out deep. I thought of going deep but I did not want to give up what I had inside. What size boat do you have?
  16. 6/23 AM Out for a short trip. Started the day in 100 fow 2 to 3 ft chop out of the North / North East.Good Bait and Marks. Everything was 75 ft and below. 5 degree temp. break 75 down. Took Kings out of the bait and out of temp at 60 ft down. Sun. 6/24 AM Slight Chop. Returned to same area and fought a good current on a West troll. Took 1 King Headed East and immediately the rods started to fire. Browns and Kings out of the bait. Again 60 to 75 down over 80 FOW Sun. 6/24 PM Ran West Settled in to an East troll in 75 fow. Good bait and fish. Again took Browns and Kings. Everything caught on spoons. Blk/Sil, Dolphin, Sil/ FL. Gr.
  17. Get The Net, great report. Glad to read that the fishing is still holding up. Your comment about the little King being left in the parking lot is right on and sends the wrong message about fishermen and women. Thanks for your report.
  18. Fishstix, not sure what you mean by fog. The lines you see along the south shore are temperature gradients. Each line is a 1 degree change. The map is correct as I used it last Saturday off Sandy. Check previous posting. If there was cloud cover, there would be dark areas blocking out the temp. readings.
  19. 7:00am Started the day West of Sandy, in front of Eagle Harbor, on the 25 line looking for Steelies. Found 49 degrees on surface and 40 degrees down 50 ft. Work the area for a while but really did not like what I was seeing. No marks no hits no bait. Did not like the water there so we trolled into 180 to get a better span of water to fish. Nice colored water. Just settled in and core line went 350 out with a 8LB. coho. Steady pick all morning working a line of waypoints in 172 to 185 fow until 11am. Then settle into a one here one there pick. Finished the day at 1pm. Most fish came 30 to 50 down on blk/sil and blk/purple.Cohos- 4 to 8lbs, Kings- jacks to 8lbs, Steelies- 4 to 9lbs. Went 14 for 16 running 3 riggers and 1 core. Busy morning with just two of us on board. COG was key to maintain speed and lure action. Got a report that the action East of port was also good. Did not fish 6/10.
  20. Weasel, I know this is going to bring a response from Ray but Avon's Skin So Soft works great. Go ahead Ray have fun
  21. Tom, I was out last night for a quick look see and found the same conditions. No bait marked. I was probably the boat West of you as there were no other boats outs. We did mark a few fish in 180 to 200 and managed one 12# King. That fish came 80 down and out of 41 degree water. I will be out Thursday evening if you out give me a call on 72.
  22. Fred, I have to second Jerry's comments about Joe. As a member of Jerry's team, Joe as always been a class guy and helped us out whenever asked weither it is a pro/am or not. Bringing your brother in and giving up fishing time is just something Joe would do. I trust your brother is doing fine.
  23. Rod, apparently the rules have changed. While in Olcott this past weekend fishing the Pro/Am, I noticed a couple amature boats being launched in the morning and then being put on trailers at the end of the day. I would still contact the Oswego tournament committe for their ruling. Our team, fishing under Rebel Charters, finished 11th out of the 27 Pro boats entered.
  24. Rod, I would be interested in their response. Please let me know by a PM or a posting. In any event, I think you will enjoy fishing in the Pro/AM's.
  25. Rod, the intent is to ensure the boat does not leave the habor in an attempt to scout new water. In this way helps to have a level playing field for all participants.
