  1. Hans, You don't think I fish with him for the company do you? Apparently you've never fished a tourney with Captain "Do this, do that" Felluca. Hell on water man.
  2. Yeah Jerry... I may have gotten that tip from some poor soul that had to work sat am instead of fish. Thanks bro.
  3. Great weekend Pat. Had similar results in 450 fow. Ended up beating up on the bows with a king and a coho off of Ibay/River. Guess I was fishing to high but a good time none the less. One bow  (i think) gave us an air show jumping 6 feet outa the water the first two jumps, and throwing the spoon on the third. Love to have that one back.
  4. Way to go Hans. We ended up fishing inside and outside of you. Started in about 120 and worked to 150 and then motored out to 275. We worked that out to 450 boating a mixed bag. We ended up 6 for 8 boating 4 bows, a 20lb king, and a small coho. We lost another screamer and a nice bow that put on an air show for us. The fish came on NBK's, and shiner 28's.
  5. Nice catch Hans. What was your best spoon? Probably out in am... give you a shout 8 or 9.
  6. OK. Good luck this weekend. Hope to see you on the water.
  7. Thanks Hans, I appreciate the info. If I get a chance to get out this weekend I'll give you a shout. What channel do you monitor?
  8. Nice catch. I haven't got the wire program working yet. Can't do much on an 18' boat right now but I'll get there. Thanks for the info on the temp. That really had me worried. We were marking fish and bait and basically dropping down to where we saw them and ignoring the temp. Are you targeting a certain temp or just dumping in where you see the fish and bait?
  9. Hey Hans, I was already to bring him in when Jim yanked the rod from my hand. Fish-hog. How'd u do?
  10. Out with the brother-in-law for a couple hours Started out 1 to 2's and threw in a couple of 3's by late afternoon. We worked our way from 70 out to 120. Deep rig fired on it's way to 75 over 112 FOW. 24lb king all but swallowed an NBK breaking the clip along the way. Decided that grilled salmon steaks were the ticked for the rest of the afternoon.
  11. Thanks Gambler for your reply and all the great info. Off to the At-tom-ik site...
  12. Heard alot lately about runnng copper. Sure would appreciate info on rigging and techniques regarding copper. Thanks.
  13. Woody, What kind of temp are you looking for when your aiming for browns in 35 to 70 fow, and kings out deep this time of year?
  14. Woody that sounds like the ticket. Too much to do now without gummin' up the works with the blades on the riggers. Give me a shout this weekend if you're out. What channel do you monitor? I'm shooting for Sun afternoon. Frank
  15. Thanks Nick. Sounds like I have to sink them first and run them on the deep rigs if I'm gonna tow 'em off the riggers. I wouldn't want a fish to fire off a spoon below them. Sounds like a mess. I probably won't make it out 'til Sun if at all this weekend. I'll give you a shout. Frank Cell 585.330.1574
  16. Thanks Woody, I'll be giving those a go next time out (whenever that is, never enough time). Do you run your e-chip / fly rig only off the dipsey or can that be run off the rigger without weaving a basket?
  17. Thanks Ray.. Pencil me in under the "Always Learning" category. I appreciate all your good advice. See you on the water.
  18. Woody, we fished from Bear creek just past Ginna Sunday AM. We marked some high bait and some hooks from 85 to 120. One knock off, one lost screamer, a spent drag, and some choice words later we were left thinkin' 'what the heck can we be doin' so wrong?'. We saw that 43 degree break down about 60 and fished at it and up on a mainly easterly troll at around 2.5 of the subtroll. Bugged out of there about 11:30. Sounds like the NBK and the Killer Yellow have been workin'. We ran dolphin, alwife, and silver/green but just couldn't get it goin'. Any suggestions?
  19. Thanks all for the info. Guess I'll give it a go on the cable. Worst case I'll have to re-rig. Fish On.
  20. Thanks for the info. I checked out those photos for the Blacks. I'll have to try that on a piece of spare wire with the roamers. My concern is that whether or not the locking mechanism on the roamers will displace the wire under the insulation enough to effect its performance. Still tossin' it around. Fish On.
  21. Rigging up a Subtroll 900. Can I mount the Roemers release on the coated cable without losing any capability from the unit? or should I mount the release on the leader below the probe?
