  1. No momay i do not own Jays boat. Unfortunately you can name your business the same as somebody else when you are doing a D.B.A. in another county. His case being oswego cty. I have been around just a tad bit longer than jay has. I am and have been running a Rampage. I would never keep the same name on a boat i purchased. He is looking for ducks Jerry, and then water.

  2. The 2015 season has begun for the Hookedup. We fished 4/2, 4/3 with the same guys who have done this for 29 yrs. They always love braking the ice, and this year it was. In their first two days we went 24 for 41. The water is cold and I don't think they were really wound up to chew yet. I would say 70% of the fish were 2yr old browns, a few cookies, and some junior coho's. I fished 4/5 as well with a little better results. The water was 1.5 degree warmer inside of 6ft of water and that's where the bite was for me. As long as there was color in the water it did not matter if you went east or west. Bright sticks in the mud and natural in the cleaner water. There was not much rigger action in that shallow. Spring has finally started to show it's face, it could only get better, so we can hope. Good luck.

  3. Scotty is correct in putting a wet paper towel on the antenna. These units are sensitive and will build up a negative effect and work intermittingly. The bare cable will not cause that issue. Next time you use the unit and the problem happens try the towel. Broken wire inside of antenna will do that as well. Wiggle that wire to see if the issue changes and that should be your answer.

  4. I am in the water at the end of march, fishing in the first weekend in april. Last year I was delayed for the first trip till the second weekend in april. This year I would say it will be the second weekend of april again. I heard there was ice fisherman on the river in front of shumways. They said the ice was 18" plus. I have never seen or heard of such a thing. They have big kahuna's.

  5. The genesee charter boat assoc is having a first time flea market at the Point Pleasant F.D. Tables are 10$ to sell your fares what ever they might be. That money is going to the pen rearing project. There could never be enough goodie's or people attending, which is free. This all starts on 3/21 saturday at 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. We will be accepting registration's for the genesee association as well. Coffee and danish are available. Tell everyone, hope to see you there. Hopefully this will only get bigger and better.
