  1. Kings, kings, and more kings, ungodly. I can't remember a year like this one. The salmon are here and they aren't leaving, at least not yet. I have had 15 to 20 plus bites on salmon alone in the last 3 days of fishing. Friday the first day of L.O.C. we ended up with a beauty just under 24lbs. Well the clients got home late and never registered that night, I was bummed. Same old story, whatever. Had a grand slam Saturday, no monsters but plenty of 2 and 3 yr old kings. Had some salmon hit plugs as big as themselves, maybe wild? Sunday was the same story just some tough conditions to fish with the hurricane winds. The boards have been the best bite with natural and bright bigger sticks. Spoons on the rigs were 8 by 25 and 6 by 50 were good as well. I went as deep as 35ft and poked a few, but by far the inside is smoking. Browns, cohoes, and some lakers are taking up the slack. Good luck.

  2.   Hey rick, glad you beached a few sharks. Now I got to fight with all the traffic down there, just kidding. In the short time we fished they had over 20 something bites as well. Ended up going to RGH emergency, no broken bones. I am going to the orthopedics surgeon today. Hopefully I will be going again this weekend to poke some more holes in the fish. Good luck at the oak.

  3. I am having a hard time trying to remember a spring with so many fish available.Saturday 4/19 I had 6 young men aboard, thank god. We had 72 bites in a 6 hr trip. They had 5 quads and once we had 5 on. No doubt one of the top 2 trip ever of Hookedup. All of the big pond is on fire, not just Rochester. Usually you will have a wicked bite one day and then a little harder the next and so on. Not this year. Seems to be plenty of fish from 30 to 4ft, east or west, it doesn't matter. The fish are not even all that picky as far as the baits go. Maybe this exceptionally cold winter hammered the gobies.I can tell you that 90% of the fish that I have cleaned had nothing in them. The others had niagara shiners in them.It is great to see all of the healthy cookie browns. The lakers on the beach are a beautiful bonus, and not marked up. We have managed to capture a couple of 2yr old sharks on most trips as well. It cannot get any better.

  4. I fished the last two days, friday and saturday. The first day i went east and had over 40 bites . The first fish was a coho and that was the only one. We had 1 bow and the rest were browns, the biggest being 11lbs. Colored plugs 60 to 90 ft back on the boards off the beach in the mud, and natural stuff once you were out of it. A few shallow rigger bites. Today i went west for a change of scenery and did nearly the same ecept 4 less bites. Alot of dirty water along the ponds. The fish are there but they can't see what you are offering them. Short day tommorrow, probably hang around home. There is fish there as well. There seems to be a bite no matter where you go. BEAUTIFUL gotta love it. Good luck.

  5. I never had the transducer with this unit. It does have the lake Ontario chip in it. You can still purchase one and use it as a fishfinder as well. Great detail and color. I bought the same unit just a much larger screen, getting old, much easier on the eyes.

  6. The Genesee Charter Boat Assoc. is getting our pens ready for fish this sunday at 11am at Shumway marine. Members and non members are all welcome to help. It would be greatly appreceiated for your assistance. Many of us fish out there, and this is where it all starts from. We will also be looking for people to feed them as well, as they need to be fed 5 times a day. Contact randy at 739-0569 if you can do a feeding.
