  1. Mike...your spending way too much time fishing and not enough time at work...too many hours on that Lund !
  2. Welcome to the LOU family...As another union member ( Engine Plant) I can tell you I have learned a ton of great information over the last ten years from this sight. My home port is Olcott & guys like Captain Vince Piereloni (Thrillseeker) is one of the experts who shares information if you ask him.For the most part 90 % of the fisherman will gladly share information about what , where & how if asked. Sometimes it gets frustrating out there because you have the right gear , a good game plan and a lot of confidence.......but Lake O decides not play fair...Most get aggravated and inpatient but if you keep at it & learn something from every trip , you will have one of those "unforgettable" days that will keep you coming back. At the engine plant we have a group of guys who fish both Ontario & Erie regularly and have no problem sharing information. So if you ever need a report or real time info...check lake wide tweets (Capt. Vince), Bob Songin (Oak Orchard), lake conditions from webcam at youngstown , olcott , point breeze , and offshore bouy sites.
  3. Ill take them....im located near olcott...can text me @ 716-867-6581
  4. TLox......I think a with all the new boats being added to the fleet ( ie Reel Diel , Mmmevy , & Friends) wouldnt it be fun to have a few friendly competitions ......kicking around a possible fishing league?????no different than bowling.....softball.....without the pulled hammys...lol....what do you think? Just remember if its a league your obligated.....

  7. On top its a mess...dredging material piled in a large hole to drain? Not seeing that changing anytime soon.Hope theres enough parking to accommodate all the fisherman during the LOC. Docks are usable......Town worked hard to get it to the point its at right now.
  8. Splash down finally around 5 pm....Lake was starting to lay down. Searching for green water close to shore heading west.....none to be had in 5 to 30 feet....Ran at 40 mph to make sure 200 Verado was all set after having supercharger issues at the end of last year (glad it was still under warranty)! Located "Green" water at 40 to 60 foot range.Took 10 minutes to re-spool new to me Cannons & sent down perch colored stinger with gold back (just bought last week). Ran 45 down w/50 ft lead in 50fow. Trolling speed 2-2.8 mph ......3 minutes later hook-up...7lb laker. We managed to catch & release 4 Lakers (2 of 4 were super skinny) all between 7 & 9 pounds and a shaker salmon (how do these small fish manage to get all 3 trebles in their mouths). All in all boat ran fantastic , now just need to get organized. Water temp in the creek was 56 degrees......along the shore was 48-50 degrees and out in 50 ft was 40-42 degrees. No lamprey marks on any of the lakers but their colors were very light ....not that beautiful vibrant green pattern they usually are.
  9. Dont mean to hi-jack post.......just bought 2 Mag 10 electrics from LOU member yesterday & he said there were no auto stops on this version but has a slow retrieve...is there a way of determining age of Cannons...Also there are 7 screws holding plastic cannon motor cover on and when i was removing screws 4 of them were just spinning. Can i use a longer screw or is there a sleeve i can add to existing holes. Is there supposed to be some type of gasket between housing & cover...Any help would be appreciated....Thanks mmmevy..
