  1. No soft spots in any of the floors. The bellows and stringers are in good shape. The horsepower on the engine I believe is 125HP. The trailer only has surge brakes that will activate if the trailer becomes detached from the tow vehicle.
  2. It is located in Cincinnatus. About 16 miles east of Cortland.
  3. 1986 Bayliner Trophy Hardtop. 21 foot long. It has a four cylinder Volvo engine and also comes with 1986 Caulkins trailer. There are a few minor dings/scratches in the gel-coat but overall in good shape. There is a Hummingbird fish finder and a Marine VHF radio that will come with it. The boat also has a bait tank, live well. This is a nice boat for fishing and relaxing. With it having a 4 cylinder engine, it is great on gas. Oil was changed yearly, timing belt was changed in 2008. Boat has always been stored inside and trailered to the lake. It never sat in the water at a marina. I just don't have a vehicle to tow it with anymore. $4000 or Best Offer. Any question, please feel free to email or call. 607-four-two-three-6348. Thank You Clyde

  5. I have 2 Cannon Mini Mag Electric downriggers. Both downriggers are in great condition. They both have had the 2 foot co-polymer boom replaced with a 3 foot stainless steel boom. Both have the electric connectors to wire into boat's electrical system. The both have Cannon Tab lock bases that will go with them. Asking $275 for 1(one) or $500 for the pair. I can email pictures upon request. I work in Auburn and can meet anywhere between Auburn to Syracuse and Cincinnatus. My number is 607...423...6348
  6. My uncle is coming up from South Carolina and was wondering where the kings will be running around the 1st or 2nd week in August. I usually launch out of Mexico but he wants to go where ever the best fishing is. I told him I would see what I can come up with anything, but couldn't promise anything. Thanks, Clyde
  7. This may sound like a stupid question but when you set the dipsey for right or left. Des it mean left or right as your looking out the back of your boat or as your looking over the bow of your boat. I know it sounds like a pretty stupid question but just clearing it up.
  8. Knock on wood, I have not had really any major issues with it in the few years that I have had it. I had the timing belt go when I was out on the water, but was able to get towed back in. Needless to say... LESSON LEARNED.
  9. Thank You all. I will try adjusting it once this white stuff goes away and it warms up a little bit. Clyde
  10. It is a Volvo Penta drive AQ131. I will have to get the exact specifics as I am not sure what I did with my paperwork on it(its hell getting old). Holy Mackeral, I believe there is a small fin above the prop but there is a rubber flap on it and seems like it is an exhaust of some sort.. This one that I am talking about is on the cavitation plate. If I remember correctly there is one bolt that is holding this one on. I do not recall any other fins above the prop. How do you know if you adjusted it correctly? Just trial and error? What is a whale tail? Thank You Clyde
  11. I have a 86 Bayliner Trophy and since I have had it I have had a small issues with it steering hard when running up on full throttle. It will only be tough to steer when I am turning to the starboard side, when I say tough, I have to use both hands to turn but when I turn to the port side I can easily turn it with a couple fingers. When I am running at idle the steering is not that tough, still easy to go to the port than starboard, just not has tough as when running on full power. Good thing I am not running on full power the entire time or I would have massive guns. I believe it has a pack and pinion system and I am not sure if it has been every been replaced. I just do not want to spend the money for a new system and still have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. Clyde
  12. I have a 86 bayliner trophy. When I get back to the boat, I should be able to help you out.
  13. Thank You. I did replace the old one with a Shakespeare Mariner 8500 VHF Antenna. I was just wondering if hooking two up to the one radio would make any difference, but I see that it is not wise to do. I think I will just get a AM/FM antenna for my port side. Thank you two.
  14. I have a question for anyone out there...... When I bought my boat(22' Bayliner Trophy Hardtop) it had the bases for VHF antennas mounted on both port and starboard side of the boat. There was only one 8 Ft antenna actually hooked up on the port side. I would like to know if I hook up a second antenna on the starboard side if it would make any difference. I am not really sure if it would even make a difference, just wondering. My other question is would a vhf antenna work for a AM/FM stereo or is that the reason they sell and make other antennas for AM/FM stereos. Thank You All Clyde
  15. Ted, I have the same boat as yourself with the volvo penta drive. I am not sure where masonville is located, but any parts I get, I always get them at Brewerton Boat Yard in Brewerton, NY. Any questions I have ever had, I have always called the guy and he was very easy to deal with and always pointed me in the right direction if he wasn't able to get the part. Is there a part number on the cover that you purchased? I can always check it with mine. Not sure if that would help or not, just thought I would offer. Clyde
  16. WOW! Nice job. Just a couple quick questions. I have a '86 Bayliner Trophy and was thinking of doing the same as you did. How much experiance do you have with fiberglass and gelcoats? How about painting, much experience? my gelcoat has a few nicks above the waterline that I want to address as well. How long did your project actually take you. Thanks
  17. I know how you feel Jay. My uncle and a friend of his came up to do a little fishing. I launched out of Mexico State Launch. We were set up in 150 feet of water with other boats around us. My engine ended up just dying, it acted like it ran out of gas, but that wasn't the case. The timing belt ended up going on it. There was alot of chatter on the radio(channell 67), so I put a call out to see if anyone out of Mexico was going in and would be will to give a tow. The radio went silent. One guy came back and was up near the PP, asked what our boat looked like and where we were, I gave him my boat description, and our GPS coordinates, he said eh would try to locate us. In the meantime, I put up my orange distress flag. In the mean time, I tried the radio ago and it all goes silent again. There was a charter boat within 100 yards of me. He picked all his gear up. I thought he was coming over to check with us, NOPE. After all his lines were in, he motored up and went right by us headed toawrds Mexico. If that boat is ever in need I will be sure to return the favor just like he did. The boat that said he would look for us, ended up making his way to us. He said that he never towed anyone before but would be will to give it a try. It was him and his son, they were from Vermont and staying at Selkirk. They were on thier way back in for the day. Of all the local boats around, there was only one that help and it WAS NOT a local. Its pretty sad that it took an out of towner helped us out. One guy came back on the radio and said switch to channel 16 and call the coast guard. Oh well. But I do know how you feel Jay. Clyde
  18. There is an Islander at a residence on Route 41 in Solon. I dont have the specifics. But I will be going by there this weekend and can get the information for ya. Clyde
  19. I'm not for certian either Tim. I am just wondering if I an tightening the overhand knot too much and it is kinking the wire, but i tried it a couple different times and all 3 times it broke right at the knot. I understand that the half hitch is what really holds the knot in place. Maybe I am not tieing it correctly which is always a possibility knowing myself. Thanks for you input. Clyde
