took one from a retired c.g. commander when i was around 12.took another one last year.in reference to one of the above posts...one of my biggest worries is someday whacking a bass or drift boat on myway in or out.some of them sit so low in the water its near impossible to see them when they are in the trough.same for drift boats.

i scan them all mostly.most of us from mikes use 78.sometimes wonder why two marinas 1/4 mile or less apart can't share a channell.

thanks.numbers are not down as much as i feared they would be. i saw a lot of late fish in the tribs this year.hopefully the natural reproduction rates prove stronger than suspected.guess we will find out.

if its not to late, check out the mats inc. web site. several styles to pick from. also would suggest rubber flooring. much less slippery when wet, doesn't get brittle when cold like vinyl, and holds up to direct sunlight better.also has natural anti-microbial properties. microbes are those little organisms that cause odors.mats inc. products are often cheaper at your local floorcovering dealor than on-line.Johnsonite,Burke-Mercer (candian co.), and estrie all make similar products of rubber as well.

as far as nat. reproduction goes, conditions i saw in the streams were far from optimum from a survival standpoint. i would suspect that the kings sucess rate was lower in the streams as well.there were a lot of late cohos this year and that masy help them
