will be my second trip this week-end.boat name Last Chance, channel 78.give me a shout.if nothing else i can tell you what doesn't work. i plan to start in 20 fow and work out to 30-35 and see what happens sat afternoon.in front of Dowie Dale to left of mex.point (west) would be a good start point.my best guess for what it's worth.
just so you know..each beer raises your bac.02. a normal liver removes .02 per hour. 12 beers in 8 hrs puts you at .08.could be a problem legally in the boat or in the car on the way home.
rode with a friend of mine on his boat.nice ride -0 fish.found a 1/2 million or so bugs,a ton of marks in 30-35 fow. did not see a single fish landed or back at the marina.niceday and water for my first boat ride of 2008.
this time of year 10 fow is a good place to start.you can catch them to the right or left untill the water warms and they move out.then left is better.watch for rocks when you are in close.i usually stay out in 15 to 20.not as many fish, but they run bigger and no boulders near the surface.don't get too shallow before dawn your first time out.i like 2.3 gps.some guys go faster, some slower.i start at2.3 and adjust if i need too.good luck, hope to see you out there,Boat name Last Chance-channell 78.
easy fella.some of us don't get home till late sat. stickbaits and stinger spoons work well.13 rapalas will catch good size fish.if everyone else is bunched up in 10-15fow go out to 20-25 fow.good luck
firt off,i like it here, thanks for letting me in. I replied to an ad last week by pm.i have looked all over and can't see how to tell if he answered back.where do i look,or how can i tell?thanks.
this time of year spinners take a lot of stream fish.they also do well with shore casting.anyone ever tried either flatlining or shallow downrigging with spinners? i haven't but think it may work.
checked out my slip,Nick dropped one.went a little further up-stream i landed a brown arund 7 lbs,let him go.nice color, big hook jaw.blacktop in the parking lot at the launch mex. point.about a 2 ft pile of snow across the entry.1 week of mild weather and its open.
24 ft carver 8-6 beam 230 hp omc (351 ford).not the prettiest boat in the marina anymore,but very reliable.comes w/garmin f/f,gps seprate units,2 cannon elec. d.r.'s,2 hand cranks,planer mast(2) mounted on hardtop,tite-loc rod holders.stand-up head.ref. and cooler built in.sink under mates seat.teak in cabin and around tilt-out windws under hardtop.cruise 25-28 mph at 3000 rpms.trim tabs.small swim platform.misc. spare parts,fuel filters and flare gun,dr balls.good on gas. i wnt bigger 1 1/2 years ago,i don't want to carry this one another year.shorelander trailor.several new parts. stored at Mike's Marina. Make an offer.[/url]
took one from a retired c.g. commander when i was around 12.took another one last year.in reference to one of the above posts...one of my biggest worries is someday whacking a bass or drift boat on myway in or out.some of them sit so low in the water its near impossible to see them when they are in the trough.same for drift boats.
