Stay home....This is not the weekend to be here. Currently winds are gusting to the 30's plus its snowing and blowing....Water level is way up but thats most likely due to the heavy winds going on now...8 ft waves at a minimum. They say its going to calm down tomorrow......stay home lol...
And we thought the rollers were bad there last Saturday ......

Why does everyone bash the referees when they make a mistake, when people on the field making 10 times as much money make mistakes all game long???? One play doesn't a game make...…...
Maybe we should be bashing Drew Brees (Salary of about 10.8 million vs referee Bill Vinovich at about 250K = 43 times as much) ) for that play where he threw it up for grabs and it got intercepted. .....that's clearly a mistake too.....
Plain and simple .... it's their job to get it right. That's what the league hires them to do. They get video back up to assist in making it happen. Not going to always be right but the tools and rules are certainly there to assist. And what does the amount of money any of them make have to do with it?

Good man .... Fished with him several times and as many have said here, I learned a bunch from him ..... and boy oh boy!!! .... did we catch perch! RIP

Congrats on a great bear. I'm not big on watching hunting shows but one that I do make a point of catching is Dean Partridge's Canadian Whitetail. Because of that I'm truly interested in a Saskatchewan hunt. The whitetails up there are huge! Did you fly in?

Anyone have any experience with Vortex scopes? I went to the Firing Pin gun shop and Runnings today, and both places spoke very highly of them.

I have a vortex spotting scope .... absolutely no complaints. At the Harrisburg show last year I looked at a fairly new brand called Tract. They had some really good stuff at the show. I bought a pair of their Binoculars (8x42) and have been very, very pleased. The brand is definitely worth a look. They are direct to consumer so their pricing is quite competitive.

I'm no die hard deer hunter. After blowing up my shoulder at work, I'm limited to the crossbow these days...
Had a very serious illness about a month ago, and I wasn't sure I'd get out this season... Well, where theres a will, there's a way. Went down to my buddy's camp in Steuben County for a few days this week. I saw a Lot of small bucks... In fact 7 of us bow hunting never saw one of the big fellas they have had on camera... It's like they disappeared.
Anyway... Camp rules...8pts or better and out to ears... Wend morning this fella came by giving me a TV show shot ..21 yards broadside....
A month ago, the Doc told me I should be dead...so this buck means a lot more than the number of inches he scores...
Felt good to get out in God's country...
