I recently purchased a spotting scope and would like to put a quality tripod under it. The scope I bought is a Vortex Viper 20-60x80HD. The scope weighs 63 ozs. so it's close to 4 lbs. Any recommendations will be welcome as this is new territory for me ..... Thanks!

In addition to Rob's comment on Scent Blocker, I noticed this morning that MidwayUSA is also having a big sale on many items including some good names in Hunting clothes. Look under the Big Game Seasonal Blowout heading: https://www.midwayusa.com/

I bought two suits last year and have been very happy with them so far.
I bought the "outfitter" suit for cold weather. https://www.robinsonoutdoors.com/shop/outfitter-suit.html
And I bought the "Drencher" suit for warm weather. https://www.robinsonoutdoors.com/shop/drencher-suit.html

Gen 3s with a proper ir illuminator are great. The new photons are great scopes. Most important part is your going to see dogs that you'll never see with lights.
What are the Photons your referring to? Would you have a link for them?

It's a great time of the year to update or add to hunting and fishing gear. I find myself looking for deals on Trail cams, hunting clothes, etc.I see Cabelas has some good deals going. Anybody finding any good deals yet ?

Hunted just outside of Plains ..... stayed in Paradise which is just down the road. Saw a ton of Elk but couldn't connect on a legal bull. Shot a decent 9 pt. whitetail buck on Thanksgiving morning. Beautiful country

Best of luck and enjoy. I took my first ever hunting trip this yr. to Montana with a friend who had gone before ..... It still has a grip on me. Think I'll be taking other trips.

I was affected by this but I'm back ..... suffered slight withdrawals. Glad it's fixed and thankful that Chad replied with info when needed.

I was taking a leak in my bottle and when I looked up, a doe came busting out of the corn. I quick finished up and noticed a big buck coming behind her. Seconds later a second buck appeared. After some chasing and no good opportunities to shoot the bigger buck, I took the other buck. On the initial hit, I hit a little further back than I would have liked. He ran off and ended up bedding down right next Keith in his stand. To make a long story short, the buck ended up going off the property and across a raging creek. He was bedded down in the cattails. We backed out, drove around and got permission from the land owner to retrieve the buck. Thanks again Gator for the opportunity to let me shot a buck on your land. Hopefully you will be rewarded with the 9 point that was with this buck!

Best Net
I'm in the market for a new net.I've had a bunch of decent hand me downs but it's time to upgrade. I'm interested in a Ranger with extendable handle. So far I haven't found one in the shop's (Bass Pro, Field & Stream, Dick's) and the online search has been a bit confusing. What is everybody using (model#????) and where do you get it? Thanks!
