  1. cool thanks . We will see if I feel like making another 90 mile round trip after the camper is set up to bring the boat lol. At least its picked up since the memorial day  derby...I had  never worked so hard to boat fish in that lake !

  2. Staying at Sampson Sunday through Wednesday. Pondering if I should bring the boat down or not. Hows the area been?  I would have to re do all my leaders, all for kings now lol. How are the weeds and fleas ? May just bring the boat to take the kids for a ride as well

  3. Two blow boat experiences that I remember vividly....first one off the genny , windy sw 3 footers. Sailboat comes in , turns right at us , obviously with no control. I had to swing my rigger in and grab the dock pole and he barely missed by feet. Response was " it's our turn when it's windy out here " second was on Seneca by the barge. Hooked into a big laker. Fish up on top, sailboat cutting across the stern sure path to cut fish. Yelled and pointed to the fish. The sail boat capt frantically ran around , grabbing ropes to change course with all he had. Apologies galore, missed the fish, dropped sail to watch us land the 13 lb laker . After he cheered the catch saud He didn't see we had lines in . Like anything its all about the individual. There are some good ones out there !

  4. Fished Hughes Sat am, lakers lakers lakers! Everything was on the riggers spin doc/fly 90-140 down. Never took a hit on the dipsies, ran them 325-375'. Tried the marks down on the bottom 165 down, nada. Ran a bit faster after first few lakers, 2.4 to 2.6 gps speed looking for kings but still hit only lakers. Good size though, all in the 9-14lb range.   Dale that black mag is sure your go to :) we gotta get together soon !

  5. I added a Garmin Echo 44dv gps  combo unit to the boat this year. Worked great along side a Lowrance 105c with no interference. . The Lowrance decided to crap out last week. Picked up a Lowrance Hook7 chartplotter combo. Mounted in same spot, used existing transducer location (4-5 in from garmin transducer) and I cant have both on without the lowrance picking up the garmin. switched frequency to 455hz on the lowrance and down to 77hz on Garmin as well as turning off the sonar function. tolerable but still picks up. Any ideas? going to try to move one transducer to opposite side of outdrive next. Thanks!

  6. Yeah the boat raffle  has to go imo...maybe just replace with a 50/50 raffle? funds from that can transfer into the next years prizes maybe. Would hate to see this end. been fishing it since I was 6. 31st year! Im sure multiple sponsors can be found. I have very lle time on my hands between working full time, two little kids and a fire dept line officer but will help any way I can
