  1. I was out yesterday afternoon. I had between 38 to 40 degrees down 50 to 100 in 120 fow to 200.Spent the whole time on search mode to ginna. Took one fish in 2 hours . Far reach from my last 3 trips where we hit them good same area . Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I've had a similiar LOC this month out of Hughes . 150ish has been good but alot of search mode . Same waypoints were ghost towns from day before. The 6th we put up a 26.5 king good for 2nd place that I have painfully watched fall to 20th and prob off the grid by end of today lol. Figured it would stay somewhere. After 2 days I had given up on the 40 to 50 ft marks and concentrated deeper riggers and divers. Fewer bites but better quality of fish . Finally this past Friday smaller uv spoons were firing steady in the 50ft range. Bagged a 22# female then got chased off by an incoming storm . I've had like a 30% catch ratio last 4 trips for some reason . Alot of short hits maybe . All new spoons and fly rigs . 2.8 to 3.0 down speed and pockets of 44 to 46 deg water were our ticket . 3. do you have more pics?? When was it surveyed last?? Lowest price willing to take??
  4. yeah that was prob me lol. the avatar pic is the boat. If my daughter was bringing it in you would have def heard her " talking" it to the boat lol
  5. fish were def on the move on the north end . Hit 11 Saturday am, all lakers and one LLS . Biggest lakers just over 6. Ran to Kashong Sunday am after a slow hr at Bellhurst . Only hit 3 small fish there . Came back North and set up a different troll . Found active fish in bait pods and hit 5 decent size lakers and a brown in half hr. Took a break about 130, went back to same waypoints to blank screen in that area with one fish . Pulling wire took almost every fish. My daughter and stepson helped make up a crew and they had a great time
  6. I may make my first 2019 Seneca appearance this weekend . Gotta do some scouting
  7. Ugh....gonna have to trail to Geneva or Lodi this year from Sampson during the NLTD sounds like. I was being optimistic for it being ready but oh well we will make due . It was my understanding you don't pay when Sampson is reopened if you are camped , correct?
  8. Nice job! I think we launched next to you with the grey/wht starcraft. I think we ended 11/13 all browns
  9. Same for me Friday out of Sodus . Ran to Maxwell and had crystal clear 36 deg water . 2 hrs of washing lures then found a stained area 38deg near the pierheads . Ended up 4/4 in 10 mins with 2 around 8lbs . Bayrats and bomber long A's 2.2-2.4 gps speed . Killed me to pick up but made it with only 15 mins to spare to get the little ones off the school bus lol.
  10. My only guess is I did it level on trailer , raised bow after I drained . Must have been a little water that didn't drain all the way . Idk. Prob just paranoid but didn't expect anything in there . I've winterized myself /or my dad since it was new . Never had a prob . Idk why there was some left Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. It's enclosed 3 sides mike . Front open but closed off with a canvas tarp. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Strange dumb question but here we go....have a 99 trophy with a 4.3l i/o. Winterized , drained the water etc back in early October. My dad passed away the same weekend , everything was a blur that time frame . Went to the boat today to check everything over . Second guessing everything I did recently I decided to unscrew the engine drain plugs for reassurance . Got a little (about 2 max 3 shotglasses out of water ) then realized I never took off lower water pump hose this year when drained which I normally do. I know I won't know for sure if I did any damage until I run it but does anyone know if a little water is ok without any problems? Oil looked ok, no signs of cracked . Boat stored in a non heated carport wrapped up. Really kicking myself , but hope it's ok. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  15. 2 Fenwick Rigger Stik rods for sale in excellent condition rarely used. . Light action, perfect for browns or walleye. One has a Shimano Triton 300 reel. $75 for all, or will negotiate to Separate . Located in Walworth NY . PM if interested please.
  16. just keep in mind if the buoy shows 1.5ft waves, its really 3ft. that's the rise from sea level, not the trough of the wave. Always x2 and I always add 10mph to the wind when planning. South wind, small boat best bet stay shallower. Turn before it gets uncomfortable .
  17. and Rick I have seen many occasions where someone is told their loved one is gone. Its a sickening feeling and does anger you , especially if it was avoidable .
  18. I ran into a guy once years ago, prob around 30yrs old on Sodus. Said he is the first one on the ice every year and the last one off. Falls through at least once a year and fishes with a life jacket . He also stated that he is not a p***y and wont get blown off the lake in his 19ft starcraft bc he knows what hes doing. I remember thinking what an a**hat and he will be in the papers someday. Someone elses life was taken here by similar pride . That guy I met years ago was tempting his own fate not anyone elses ....guess what I am saying is take this as a lesson and I hope the same mistake doesn't happen again
  19. exactly....never get too comfortable . I wont challenge it. Fishing in choppy water is a pia but if I have to question if my boat can take it safely , its not worth it. I look at it and think If I were to lose power, wrap wire in the prop etc could I be safe until help arrived. If I feel the answer is no, Im staying home. Have I fished in nasty holy crap weather? Yes but I have gotten more cautious especially if my 9yr old is with me. What happened is a gamble no one should make
  20. Its unfortunate when things like this happen. It however makes everyone sit back and look at the big picture. We all double check our vessels , safety equip and the weather forecast before heading out. In the fire service when there is a line of duty death, we look at the situation in depth, no matter where it happened . Critique it not for judgment or finger pointing but as a learning experience for next time. I saw this Sunday strong south winds backing west . My game plan was to venture out to 300-400 and park there , however with a semi rookie crew that was planned to go I opted to keep my 21fter on the trailer and do yardwork and clean the boat (finding more spoons I bought and hid from the wife too lol) I was bummed but I have 2 little girls that depend on me , lets all just take it as a warning to double check our gear and be cautious. Prayers to the family . Tight lines......
