    What time of the year are you going to be fishing for lakers, This time of the year out here they are suspended over deep water. There would be no need to bounce bottom. But in another 60 days you will have to get on the bottom for them. I use to use a snubber by

    Depending on the structure of the bottom , you can count on losing your balls but not snap your cable. So take plenty of balls with you. :lol:

    Out west here I run the 7" Cisco KId Wrangler stick Bait by Suick lure company. I run them 50' off the ball clean. The lure will dive on it's own 18 to 20'.

    I use to run Cowbells and peanuts , with different offerings out west here. But have had better success by just running them clean and using the malato color lures

    Now my reply was.

    Both my parents have passed away some years ago, I have one living aunt and she is 96 years of age, and lives in a rest home now in Oregon. But after my last visit she had no idea who I was.

    Now I guess I could send you a copy of my birth certificate, but will have to send to Shasta County for a copy and the cost will be $ 10.00. I was born on 2-13-47

    As most of you know I live in California , and have a number of friends that are guides out here. After hearing there horror stories of clients you could not pay me enough to do it. It's bad enough just with people you know at times, as you watch them lay at rod on the deck and then someone else steps on it and there goes a couple hundred dollars.

    It takes a person with more patience than the best psychiatrist one could afford . My hat is off to you guys and gals that do it for a living.

    there will be three of us fishing down deep 16' to 170' on Crescent Lake Oregon. The two Down Riggers will each have one rod, just thought the 3rd could go on dipsy with some help. I could use the steel line rod with a 1lb weight with 3 way swivel . I was just hoping

    I could use a dipsy diver some how. Ray your own , there will still be over 100' of water below where we need to get.
