  1. I`ll be hitting it this weekend...anyone else???????????? Have`nt been after my beloved pike for awhile -busy chasing my other luv...ms.muskie :inlove:i`m all choked up!!i gotta go cya Bob S
  2. I as well got skunked...i did however get a GOOD look @ the winning 43"fish...It was caught behind me and off a point i had been making several passes over.Congrats to the winner(guys from pa-good guys).I just could`nt find any fish willing to cooperate.I had casted tuffs and biggame twitch baits for awhile focusing on the wind blown point once the wind picked up.gave`m a little time to adjust but no takers.Tough day indeed! Thanks to jim(mr.Toothy)and bob sauke for a great time after. Was not all lost though,i picked up a 9"bert in black perch and a 10"tuff shad through the raffle.I also traded 2 of my photo finish perch from damn for a custom crank from the winner(can`t buy them). He makes them for personel use(jake style-good and solid/would`ve liked a black perch color though).Anyways a fine day to be out. Cya Bob
  3. This was sent to me by my aunt and i`m passing it along for you to read.I know it`s not esox related...it`s much deeper and something everyone should read. Pics are at bottom of page!! Please read on

  5. What are the ugly stik?i need (2)7-8'med/heavy for muskies. Bob S
  6. I`ve launched from sampson and fished down and across the lake at dresden(pwr plant?)and done well using bass crankbaits in 20fow(shad color with orange eyes).I`ve also got them on the north end around the pier(spoons and bass cranks-depends on water clarity as to what colors i use).I don`t fish it as much as i`d like to but i would head out of the launch(either at sampsom or the one down the east side(lond point?)near starkey)and fish the edges with deep divers and or 1oz spoons and let those flutter down and jig back in a pull and pause retrieve.I know there`s some real porkers in there that i`d like to hook into.I know they get some nice ones down at watkins glen.Wish i could be of more help but kind of a rookie there. Well good luck and let us know how you do. Bob

  14. Thanks for everything Larry, great tourney as always and thanks to Brian and lisa down at the Happy Hooker.I will throw my support into a womens division(and maybe a womens tourney in the future??who knows)-you may be onto something zach.As far as the tourney we managed to loose two fish ,one on a 6"black perch gotcha by lapper lures and the other on i believe was a tuffy. We boated just 1 fish which was kevins 2nd(1st was a small one from waneta 2yrs ago)a nice 35"south end on an 8"brown pikie believer. Bob S
  15. Your welcome ron and congradulations to you and the mrs, glad you hooked up 1st time out (not counting last tourney there)It gets pretty exciting from here on out-your gonna want more.I`ve got a whole bunch of lures i`m getting rid of,give me a call.Only 39???thats a nice fish,Lets see a picture! We know you got one. Bob S
  16. Welcome bob13....that is to minumize weeds from fouling your baits.Weeds hang on your rods so you`ll spend more time with your baits in the water. You do have to check once in awhile. It also gives you more room to run out rods. Those floating weeds can be a pain.Even if there is`nt any weeds i still run 2down and 2up rods.As far as dipsys...i`m trying them with nk magnums, just can`t run fast.I`ll be trying them when the water gets cold and fish get slow. Bob S.
  17. I`ll be leaving tomorrow after work for some fishing before the tourney.Good luck to all and hope to meet up with ya at the seminar. Thanks larry ,we`ll see you out there.More than likely south basin on thursday. Bob S
  18. yes,yes and yes. Those are musky specials from trinity, not terminators.I have 2 or 3,wiley is a 7" jntd bumble bee.I`ll bring along some of the better lures with me,maybe i can get rid of them.
  19. Very cool ,i may have to take you up on that.I`ll give her a call on the status(coating needs 72hrs to cure and that puts it on monday).Sounds like lex is getting into it,Chautauquas a good place for that fatty!32 should`nt be too hard to top out there.Does`nt sound like she needs much encouragement, but we`ll turn it up a notch!! I`ve got stalkers for gus &`lil ernies & tuff for nitro set aside,Were there any of those lures you wanted?
