    Traditional.... like dacron?

Im currently using 200# braid. Comparing braid to dacron isnt even fair.
    1- braid doesn't absorb water
    2- zero stretch
    3- smaller diameter
    4- releases slide better
    5- lasts longer
    6- durability

dacron tends to get water soak and sag in the water. Once your towline starts sagging in the water then your boards tend to lag. Never an issue with braid.
Thank you very much. I need to change my tow line this year and I think I will put braid on. What brand do you recommend

Is anybody using the Daiwa saltist 40 for wire . Last year I upgraded my trolling reels to Daiwa saltist 40s with 30lb mono for my downrigger rods and saltist 30s for wire. I find the 30s to be a bit small for the 10 foot rod. Is anybody using the forties with backing and wire for wire dipsies . I'm thinking of getting the 40's for wire and putting the 30s on my medium power spoon rods. Thanks to all

  3. Thinking of making one last run with my dad Saturday. Is anybody doing anything in closer to shore other than circles in the harbor and combat fishing. Don't really want to go offshore for steelhead would rather fish for mature Kings. I know they're doing stuff in front of Salmon River but I don't have the temperament for that. Thank you to all

  4. Yup he pretty much nailed it. Inline planer boards, some diving stickbaits, bottom bouncers (1-3oz), crawler harnesses, slow death rigs, jigging raps and blade baits. That's basically everything I use to fish Oneida for walleye. I kept my 18ft aluminum boat specifically to fish Oneida and will be keeping the 23ft glass boat docked up at Ontario next season. I did manage to get out fairly regularly with the 18ft on Ontario though.
Thanks to all . I perfer the big boards but I do have a few inline. As for getting out on lake out . I have only been up 3 times this season and once was a a blow off . I'm still trying to completely figure out the boat . I need to get my 150 to troll down a bit because kicker dont steer well in the windy conditions.

  5. Tangled around itself. Sometimes it won't eve realise when it gets wrapped

Not sure from description whether you mean tangling of both divers together or tangling of your attractor/lure with the diver. I do wonder though if the screw holding the weight in place may be loosening up allowing it to "flop" back and forth perhaps? The weights do move a little inside the covering on mine and I have over a dozen of them that do it[emoji2].

  6. I'm having a small issue with Dreamweaver deeper divers. It seems as though I've had two tangles on my last two trips out. I have never had this problem with luhr Jensen. And I have been fishing divers for years so I know to let them out slow. I can hear the weight shaking around inside both of my divers. I'm not sure if that is the problem on why things are twisting or if that is normal or not. Has anybody else had issues with the dream Weavers or is it normal for the weight to move around. I fished them on number two and number three setting.
