  1. To answer the two questions from Brudenship, yes the responses would come up the same on this one or a new one. To my knowledge old posts aren't achieved, you found this old one. Now the caveats on the aluminum cuddys. Inboard/outboards dwarfed outboards in terms of sales. The newest ones from the major brands are around twenty years old give or take. I had a Sylvan for 8 years quite a while ago so I went through the search a couple times in their heyday. I don't know what is available from the West Coast like Hewescraft etc, but these have only entered the east coast markets in the last few years. I look at boats on-line all the time, I can say so far this spring is has been very sparse in terms of what has been out there and right now I can say that I have seen nothing lately. That includes Detroit, Sandusky, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Rochester.
  2. Still off-season in our part of the world so perhaps the best time of year to seek out a good used outboard or get in contact with some dealers to get on their list as trade-ins appear this spring.
  3. I look at boats all the time. Have sold my share and bought my share. I know these boats and like its smaller brother the 2450 they are commonly available. So it needs to be priced in the sale range. No trailer is a drawback, but not a deal killer. I will say that right now you are priced in the range that these typically sell for. You are hitting it early for the upcoming season. The economy is soft. So be sure to put your price where it is clearly visible and go around and update the sites you have it posted elsewhere. Good luck.
  4. As I referenced earlier I had one of these. Now I see the pictures mine was the same color, with the OMC Cobra and started off with the single axle trailer then switched to a tandem. Nice boat.
  5. Agreed. Makes no sense why there wouldn't be. There seems to be everywhere else in today's world.
  6. They re-do all of these rest areas(last done in 1993 by the way so not really that old) and they don't have cameras posted in areas which have a high potential for criminal activity like human trafficing, drug dealing, and unfortunately burglary. The question is why not?? Things like this have me convinced we are doomed. One reason may be that these service areas are contracted out and managed by a private firm so maybe that is the reasoning.
  7. Go with the tanks as they are, add some Stabil or some other brand fuel stabilizer to the tanks. You are using ethanol free gas to temper problems. Pull the batteries, I would give them a charge about half-way through winter. If the stay in the boat and you are not charging, disconnect them. After two recent battery failures-which I have never had in all the years I have been around them I have changed my approach with caveat that it might have been the quality of battery. I will find that out next spring. Now others will probably disagree but those are my suggestions.
  8. It is a neat set up and concur about always forgetting a thing or two in spite of best efforts.
  9. We live in a deteriorating society and one would hope that someone wouldn't steal it but if it is just attached to the trailer with no deterrent someone might-it is a lot easier to grab than a spare tire. Just my thought.
