  1. Personally and for all the reasons you mentioned...and mind you I don't have a big boat...but if I was to get one my biggest reason for getting a kicker would be your #3 reason the gas consumption and the other one you mentioned about the main motors idling for hours. A brand new kicker $2500.+-.... a brand new 115 four stroke...I cant imagine just my $ .02 Tom

    ICE?????

Honeoye ice is all but gone Conesus was here for a couple days and gone I heard there are people fishing Loon lake but thats a hike from rochester I'm ready for spring!!! Tom
  3. Dustin and I had a great time, thank you for making the effort All!! It was nice to meet everyone looking forward to getting together again. Tom
  4. Alex, I think running a leadcore with a flasher/fly combo along with the leadcore would be a little to much for the walleye boards to pull. You could switch things up though run your stickbaits off the leadcore and try your flasher/flys off the riggers. I run a 10 color off of the inline offshore planers with either a spoon or a stick bait and they pull pretty hard, it works but they struggle. Don't forget cheaters, probably 1/2 the fish that I catch are on cheaters.Thats just an extra line attached to your main line with a rubber band or you can purchase the actual clip in Dicks or most fishing stores for that matter. Excuse me if you already knew about cheaters, just giving you some options. Good luck and don't forget to post some pics. Tom
  5. Hey Bob If Dustin and I aren't there by 12pm, shake our tent will you
  6. Hiya Zeke, nice to hear from you , that would be great, but I would certainly buy them from you. I'll try and give you a call in the near future to catch up . Take care, Tom
  7. Joe, I know in the fingerlakes two off of each side run great but you might run into trouble on Lake O because of all the currents. Tom
  8. Welcome aboard Alex....lots of great folks here! Tom
  9. Switching my rigger rods this summer to the okuma blue diamond 7'6 rods and either Okuma cv 15d or cv20d reels. I cant wait. Tom
  10. 1000ft of 30lb camo wire from Atomik and couple 100 ft of 50lb braid for backing fits nicely. First thing I did when I got on the lake was let all the wire out with a tripped dipsy on the other end and reeled it back in under tension fills the spool perfect. Tom
  11. Have fun Steve and good luck make sure you guys post some pictures. Tom
  12. You bet Kurt sounds like a fun trip! My Bro said you guys had fun on Honeoye this weekend Tom
  13. I just got off the phone with Verizon, after reading the above post it reminded me that my daughter was going on a school trip to Quebec. They told me that if you already have unlimited texting on your plan there is no charge for texting while in Canada along with texting back to someone in the US. Charges for data (internet) are $2.05 per megabite OUCH! He said that you can add international calling for $59.99 = 450 minutes and I asked if you could add it for just 7 days and he said yeah it would be prorated so 59.99 divided by 30 is $1.99 for 7 days it would be $14. you just have to remember to call and cancel the international calling as soon as you get back into the country or you will be charged the $59.99 for the month and in order to stay within the prorating you have to stay at or under 150 minutes. All these figures are for 7 days so if you guys are going just for the weekend it will be cheaper than $14. Just passing along the information...I would also suggest giving Verizon a quick call so that you can hear it from them.....wish I was going to Quinte! Have fun be safe and I cant wait to see the pictures. Tom

    Conesus...

Drove by Conesus about 11:00 am today and probably 1/2 the lake flashed last night 8 degrees right now with a couple more calm days and some cold nights and a prayer...who knows! http://conesuscam.com/ Tom
  18. http://www.atommiktrollingflies.com/ Another option would be a 10 color leadcore atommik has them all set up I believe, or a copper set up. Everytime i've fished Canandaigua wich is usually with "FLXtroutman" who is also a member of LOU the copper and or the lead core has been very productive. Tom
