  1. Has the water level come up at all over the last two weeks? Looking to launch at Dean's with a Tracker Targa V-18 sometime this week (possibly Wednesday or Thursday).
  2. First shot heard in 8T this morning was at 5:47! I was walking to my stand at that time and it was so dark I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face. Makes me wonder if it was an accidental discharge.
  3. Little predator control from the stand this morning. Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. The picture makes him look a little bigger than he actually was, but it is possible he might be a 3.5 year old. Either way, he got a free pass today and should be a shooter for me next year if he survives! Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Had a good sit this morning. Passed on a 2 1/2 year old 8 point at 10 yards. Ended up seeing 7 deer, including two yearling bucks, the 8 that I passed, and a nice 10 point that was chasing a doe...couldn't get him close enough. Tough stand location to get into for a morning sit, so I went in just at daylight...got to see a nice sunrise from my yard before I left. Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Congrats on yet another awesome buck!

  9. First heavy frost on the truck windshield/windows this morning....unfortunately I scraped them off to go to work. Felt like a perfect morning to be in the woods!
  10. That's crazy...hope your friend can set them straight!
  11. I didn't realize there were so many people that hunt on Whaler's property....thought yellow fourwheeler guy and myself were the only ones...
  12. Checked a couple cameras today that have been set up for a little over a month now. Got a lot of good pictures, but mostly night time activity. This is the 3rd year that ive been watching the very symmetrical 10 point, and my second year targeting him. With the most recent set of pictures, I've finally figured out his bedding location. Now to just wait until the time and weather are right! Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I've had quite a few pictures of bucks sparring on camera over the past 2-3 weeks as well, but they should start breaking up real soon now. I'm excited about this season, I recently upgraded to a new crossbow (Wicked Ridge Invader 400), and bought my first ever muzzleloader (CVA Optima V2 Nitride). Can't wait to try them out this season. Good luck to anybody that is heading out this weekend!
  14. This season has quickly snuck up on me, but I'm excited to get out there! Here are a few of the better bucks that's I've gotten on camera so far this year. Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Does anyone know where i can find some nightcrawlers near Deans cove? I'm renting a place near Dean's Cove for the next week, and I've got 4 young kids that are eager to do some fishing. We've got a boat and plan to do some fishing from the boat, but wanted to get a few dozen nighcrawlers for fishing from the dock as well. Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. If you go to the link provided above - www.fingerlakesanglingzone.com - you can go to reports and look back through years of reports - the majority of which are on Cayuga. John (the guide) is extremely knowledgeable on all finger lakes fishing. Check out some of his reports from July timeframe of previous years to get an idea of areas/depths that he was fishing at in the past.

Sold / Closed Legacy -The 2021 Season-

Rob, I saw on a Facebook Trail Camera page that someone bought some "air tags" and put one inside of each of their cameras. I don't know much about them, but the guy stated that if one of the cameras was stolen, he would be able to trace the location with his phone as long as the thief had something with bluetooth near the stolen camera. He claims he tried it out with his son and it worked, so maybe it would be something to look into, just a thought. It sucks that you and so many others have to deal with tresspassers and camera thieves so often during gun season.

Well I cut it close, but I'm all tagged out for the year. 9 point with bow, two big doe and a 10 point with rifle. Congratulations to everyone else that has harvested one, and good luck to everyone during the late season! Sent from my SM-G965U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Sold / Closed Legacy -The 2021 Season-

I’m looking to purchase a muzzleloader for next years season, and after reviewing some of the content on Legacy’s thread over the last few years, I’m kind of leaning towards the CVA Accura LR-X. I’d like to be able to shoot out to 250 – 300 yards, so I was leaning towards the .45 cal. instead of the .50 cal. for two reasons. From what I read online the .45 has a faster twist rate (1:22” instead of 1:28”), and should also have less drop and better trajectory than the .50 cal. Just looking for some advice on whether this is a good route to go? Chromeslayer also recommended the possibility of having a CVA Scout V2 45-70 converted to a muzzleloader, but I don’t think I want to invest quite that much. Also looking for a recommendation on a decent MOA scope that would be best for that muzzleloader in order to shoot 100-250 yards without breaking the bank too bad.

This piebald hangs out near my work. He knows where he's safe, and it's quite obvious that he eats well too! Sent from my SM-G965U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
