The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, and the Canada-Ontario Invasive Species Centre will co-host an Asian Carp Public Forum from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on November 8, 2012 at the Palais Royale in Toronto, Ontario. The public, organizations, and media are invited to this event to hear from a wide range of U.S. and Canadian agencies about actions being taken to reduce these threats. Nearly two dozen expert speakers will be presenting on everything from Chicago area control strategies to stopping carp at the border. Speakers include representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Department of Fisheries of Oceans Canada, U.S. Council on Environmental Quality, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Great Lakes Fishery Commission and many more.
