  1. Well this is a field I have plenty of experience. First off changing from a 3 blade to a 4 blade will not get you more speed. 4 blades were designed for the hole shot and control while sacrificing some top end. The 3 blade is a bit less control but more top end. I have 2 Evinrude E tec's and played with props to get them dialed in with speed versus rpm's. This is gonna be based on diameter of the prop, pitch and how much cup is in each blade. I only run stainless props cause they don't flex like aluminum so you will get a true gauge as to what your motor can handle. With my Evinrude's I also run 2 Mercury Props in a 19pitch which gives me the best top end, control and keeps my rpm's right at the comfort level of the motors. My boat will run 48 mph fully loaded with 4 people and the boat is 25'. I would try a stainless prop and see what the manufacturer recommends or ask a prop shop what they would start with. I went through 3 sets before getting them dialed in.

  2.  I too have a 40 gallon onboard tank, and the 2nd year I owned it, even though  I stabilized it, topped it off with new gas, and  even put stabilizer in every time I put gas in the year before it ended up costing me $1200.00  to rebuild the carbs and get the tank cleaned out the first time I took it out.  So now at the end of the season  before I put mine away I drain the gas out of it, put a new filter in, and it sits empty until spring when I refill it with non-ethanol.  I rigged an old 12 volt Hot Rod electric fuel pump, bought the motor end of the fuel line tap,  plug them together, and pump the old fuel into my pickup. The last thing I want to do is worry about rotten gas in my tank.

  3. I have a 90 Honda and a 9.9 Honda on my Willie. The 90 does have the control on it but the 9.9 doesn't. Since I have separate controls for the both of them at the seat it's not a problem to reach either one.

  4. I have a 40 gal onboard tank that I'd have to cut the floor beams in order to remove it, What I do every year end is drain the tank. I bought an old 12 volt hot rod electric fuel pump, and disconnect the line going to the fuel filter and hook it up inline, and pump it out. If you have some old gas laying around it would probably clean it out enough for you to pump it out the way I do.

  5. Is your boat red? We were fishing out in Mexico few weeks ago and I kept seeing what I thought was a red Hewescraft. It was a really neat looking boat. I wanted to get an up close look at it. I've always been interested in west coast aluminum boats. Where did you get it? Did you have to go out to Washington or Oregon?

That was probably me. I have a red Willie Raptor.
