  7. You are correct. I never knew these rules as I simply use the WMA’s for hunting Prohibited activities on the WMA include: Using motorized vehicles, including but not limited to: all-terrain vehicles (including "side-by-sides") snowmobiles dirt bikes and mopeds motorboats Using mountain bikes or e-bikes Camping without a permit Horseback riding Creating or maintaining any trails not authorized by the Bureau of Wildlife, including but not limited to: Hiking trails Cross-country ski trails Mountain bike or e-bike trails Target shooting Walking dogs or other pets without a leash, except: when doing so for hunting purposes during the authorized dog training period when actively involved in the pursuit of wild game during an open hunting season
  8. It actually is. One of the largest in the state. People constantly let their dogs run, ride horses and bike through. There is a main “hiking” trail that goes through the land. It is very common and known by the local DEC but they never bother the folks doing this. It has become “acceptable”. generally I do not mind it and am quite use to it, today was just “one of those days”
  9. Been hunting a public land big 12 all season. This morning get setup on the ground in an area that I know he visits. After 2 hours of sitting I catch some movement and see two deer hauling a$$ my way. One is huge bodied but it’s happening so fast I can’t see horns. Shoulder my gun and yell to try to stop them as I do I hear a freight train coming from behind me and I get pummeled on my back. After getting my head straight and licked to death here comes 2 ladies enjoying the day and letting their 3 dogs run the woods. Mind you I was over 3 miles in and UP. Thank god the dogs were friendly and just wanted to play. After talking to the ladies for a moment one says to me “you’re in a good spot. We just saw some huge deer and found these where they were 3 feet apart”. My heart sank but glad to know he made it through the year so far. To cap it off I texted the wife to tell her and let her know I was packing up and will Be heading home and sent her the pics. her reply “Wait you took pics of her?” it’s going to be a long ride home IMG_9063.mov
  10. Hunted hard Tuesday to Thursday morning and had to head home for the weekend. Saw squirrels, turkeys etc but no deer or bear. Left camp and within first 5 miles saw a dozen deer on the sides of the road at 1:30 in the afternoon. Then today receive these pictures from the food plot at camp. I can see the games have started….. lol
  11. decided to throw a couple arrows down range on lunch. First arrow out and I was reminded to perfect my form …… glad that’s out of the way - lol.
  12. Fishing out of FH and hooked into Loch Ness. We were in 115’ FOW and fish hit a 450 copper pulling a Frog paddle with Meat. Instant “dead weight” and a slow steady pull of drag. I figured I hooked a log or something floating. We were fighting a dipsy fish at the same time. The drag never stopped the slow steady pull. I was fighting the fish “tuna style” in the rod holder and pulling line with one hand and reeling with the other. Once we landed the dipsy fish I pulled all lines and went towards the copper fish. As I turned the boat the fish came alive with some massive head shakes and started screaming drag. As I was was trying to run down the fish my kicker couldn’t push me fast enough and I just watched the fish dump my entire reel of backing and SNAP it was gone. The only thing I can think of is it was a sturgeon or maybe a big Muskie. Either way it was exciting for a minute.
  13. Marinecraft is looking for these. I was just showing what I had to give him ideas
  14. I know DreamWeaver calls their spoons gold backed. NK used to call theirs Brass backed. I believe they’re all discontinued colors now I call them all gold back. lol
