    Did a walk around today on the property. Found some spots to put some food. And a few spots to sit. Saw 4 does looking for food. Also checked the camera i put on the edge, there is a lot of small bucks. One 1.5yr old 10 that should be a nice one in 2. Yrs! And this 10 hopefully ole man or cousin get an opportunity at him!     sweet!! I got a new savage 220 last year that i really want to break in at some point this season lol but we have been seeing some big boys on this property so tomorrow i finally get to go after them hard, been watching their movements and i think i know their core little section of woods!

    saw a lot of action and chasing and grunting today on a spot i am finally able to hunt for the 2nd half of the season. Only problem is it is compound bow only, but with the amount of sign i have seen and action i had today i think i am going to take my chances coming back in the morning!

    My dinner was Deer shanks roasted in a can of beer. Red Potatoes, carrots, corn, peas, sweet onions! Topped with some apple juice. If you guys dont save your shanks try them they are fantastic!!     i fish keuka quite a bit. Fishing perch is boring to me now haha but i drill holes and jig and move till i find them. usie a big cast master or jigging rapala. a flasher is a big help but if i find them my buddies fishing near me get them jigging blind also. dont jig nice and easy like you do for perch, change it up. big jigs let it sink do a couple slow jigs then a few rapid ones let it sit for a second and jig again. if using a flasher get jig near them then jig it away with a fast rip, let it sink. just feel their mood for the day. some days they want a little swim on the rapalas and some days the big cast master and big yanks gets em going! its a lot of fun especially when you can get them 100 plus feet down!
