  1. Got a small tiger on a Pike shiner, as well as a short smallie and a 12 incher, caught a dozen pannies on spinner and worm harness. Plus what made my day was catching a 32" carp on a icefishing jig rod with a small jig and worm combo! It was at least a 10 minute fight, like landing a Salmon on a Barbie pole! 2. Justin, and all... I'm very new to fishing otisco, only went there for the first time last winter for the gills. Got one small tiger and a big large mouth (outside the limits of gills) but I been on a small quest for a keeper tiger or nice eye since I've been there twice this summer. Your pics and posts got me to think this is a gem, and I am willing to drag my yak across the county park and paddle out to deep water to find them, although I hope they move shallower in fall like onieda! Keep the stories and pics going guys its a long drag from the parking area to the water just to end up with a smallie or two.....ill be out at 4 am. Jeff
  3. Going out in my yak at 4 am out of the county park. Gonna hit 40-60 foot and cast.... that's my best shot, after its 8 ish gonna look for a tiger. Jeff
  4. I was hoping for a better report, I'm thinking of going up to fish off the wall either sat or sun night
  5. I wanted to bump this thread, I remember seeing this last spring but forgot about it. Seeing that we will be getting some ice fishing in this weekend lets see what kind of freak fish we can pull off the bottom. [ Post made via Android ]
  6. The bite has been sketchy in my opinion. I've been to onieda 5 times and brought home 3 eyes. Not much action with others that I know are out there a lot. [ Post made via Android ]
  7. Get well soon john. Hope everything comes out alright. [ Post made via Android ]
  8. Nice catch! Friday night at midnight my step kid and I went out of the south launch and trolled east to Chapman and back. Had our limits by 3am. I went last night with my waders to the south launch. Fished 9-11 caught 2 lost 2 others within arms reach. I didn't want to leave without my limit, because they were bumping. But it was getting late. Jeff [ Post made via Android ]
  9. John, I dont fish Sodus, but I did very well on Little Sodus last fall, and I didnt see much or anything here.... been busy getting my firewood now before the bugs/poison ivy gets here, but thinking of next weekend for the perch!!!!
  10. On Lake O bays, are they typically shallow or deeper this time of year?
  11. At least you got one, I may have to get my Canadian license next year, and try for one myself
  12. I agree, I like perch and walleye for the table, Big Northerns through the ice, and trout and salmon in the spring and fall, but I hit the Seneca 4-6 times a spring just to see what will hit some raw shrimp, and its usually something big
  13. my step kids and I used to hammer the bullheads and big silver bass/white perch in the channel behind pirates landing,...I know there are some big northerns in that back channel, ive been cut off a few times
  14. was wondering if anybody is still catching them from shore, since we dont have ice, I was thinking of going 12/26.... would I be wasting my time??

  19. started at the south launch till 8'ish, with just a bass to show.... went to a place with some lighting, caught a ton of weeds, but nailed 2 eyes, the 3rd took my challenger lure, and no hits on anything else I threw....find light near the water, youll find the eyes
