  1. Very well said, Ray. For years, my Dad has preached-"its all about making memories" when referring to life in general. Although he hasn't participated in this fishery since the mid 80's, it still rings true. Just last week, a client looked at me and said, "well Vince, when its all said and done, all you really have is the memories you make, and we make 'em out here with people we care about." Also "magic moments". Thats another one of my dads sayings. It doesn't have to be fishing(but it often is), you only get so many of those in a lifetime. Team Hotline and am team "Wizzard" certainly experienced those Saturday. The Pro-Am events will give you both the best, and worst, but you will be ALIVE! I echo Ray's sentiments, the same guys who want to "stomp on my kneck" during a tournament, have become very good friends. They are the same people who are truly happy for you when something good happens for you. They will regroup and "get 'em next time." There is no better way to learn how to fish Lake Ontario than to fish the Pro-Am series.
  2. 3 left. little rough, but stout handles. The blanks were excellent back then. I believe they are from the nineties, and each rod has caught more Coho than is stocked in Lake Ontario in a season.
  3. Available again. Probe has color selection capabilities.
  4. on a Eagle claw roller guide rod, and triton is loaded with wire. $70
  5. 2 Rods, 1 needs one guide. 1st $25 takes 'em.
  6. Used in Lake Michigan as Coho rods, perfect for Steelies, Browns, or Walleyes as well. 6 rods, $15 each, or $80 for all.
  7. 2 high speed 47SH reels, $40 each.
  8. 8 47H reels, $35 each, or 4 or more $30 each.
  9. Anyone wishing an unbiased opinion of the fishing capability and ride of this vessel, contact Greg Dale aka "TROUBLES", he was the observer onboard this past weekend and he seems to know everyone! He shared his "Oreo donation" fish catching trick, and we shared Ted Nugent music with him!
  10. Tom shared great info. I actually believe it all starts right NOW. After a Spring binge that revs up metabolism, seems like they gather their wits and begin to migrate. Points north and east will begin to see more and more "big boys", and body changes will become more and more profound. ONly in our Lake O do so many Salmon migrate AWAY from a consistent, and ample food source. Seems they know plenty more will be available where they are headed. Great thread. They are amazing creatures. I absolutely love how they are racing against the clock, and always have an agenda.
  11. This vessel will be available for sea trial through June. If you are serious about a hard core fishing boat, that will draft only 30 INCHES (great for those low water ports and spring Brownie fishing) and provide enough protection in the salon to keep 6 or 7 persons out of the rain or sun, take a good look at her.
  12. 90's vintage, high quality aluminum boat seat for use on a pedestal. Over $200 as an optional extra seat, Red/white color pattern. First $30 takes it, no shipping available.
  13. Primarily looking for these sizes, especially the colors silver/green fishscale, gold pink fishscale, silver with yellow lip, and gold.
  14. Need only one, but will consider a pair. Have the bridge mounts already.
  15. If you have a cell that shows pics, I will text you a pick tomorrow. You can pm it to me.
  16. How long was that Chinny, Troy?
  17. Older style, with power cord but no 'ducer. $50.
  18. Put together 4 more of these outfits. $50 each, $180 for 4, or $250 for all 6!!! 6 of these, 47H Daiwa reels with 7' ML rods.
  19. If someone gives me a fair, realistic offer on these fully machined aluminum workhorses I will consider it. No ridiculous low-ball offers just for the purpose of re-selling please. I also have 1 proos rigger weather cover now in the mix, courtesy of Jerry Felluca.
  20. Worked late on Viking tonight. If you are not back until Thurs, I can see you early at marina, 530am-ish?
  21. I have been told there are anglers who have entered, or so they thought, the Niagara or Orleans Pro-Ams. If you did not get a confirming email then something went wrong and the directors need to know about it.
