Kicker Controls Sticking I installed a mew yamaha 9.9 May 2014. Just recently I noticed two things... #1 when I go to put it in gear it doesn't want to go in gear, I have to put it in reverse then forward and #2 when pushing it forward I have to push hard to get it to move. You're thoughts are welcomed and appreciated !! Gettin' Some

Was out trolling by the plant today, heading east. All boats were going east/west, except for one guy who wanted to troll south. I could see him off my bow in the distance, by the time I crossed his path I would say he was +/- 300 yards away if not more. I hear him on the radio alittle later saying I cut him off. So the question is this...... How much space should you give someone assuming they have copper lines out ??

I have a Trophy 2052 WA. I purchased a pair of Old School planer board reels off eBay that I believe cost me +/- $80. I mounted them to my rails and use otter boats. The only thing I did was drill a hole and move the handle closer to the center. For two years I think they've worked perfect. Here's a video you can check out. Any questions feel free to shoot me an email. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y1ZwLd2pBc4

Braid for downrigger
antney1 replied to Pj Weber's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
I switched over one rod as a test but did that late in the season and didn't get a chance to use it. Reason being I lost too much equipment from wire breaking due to kinks. I had one charter captain friend of mine tell me that the wire puts out a vibration in the water that attracts fish. He said I'd catch fish on braid but just not as many as wire. As far as the fleas are concerned, a couple slaps on the water and they come off so I don't know how concerned I am about that...... next year we shall see -
2004 Trophy Pro w/4.3 merc....where's the oil filter ?
antney1 replied to antney1's topic in This Old Boat
Yepper, found it !! I had to lay across the engine in order to reach it, apparently arms are to short to reach it from the front. Anyway, purchased a cup wrench and that made easy work of it.... thanks to all who replied -
2004 Trophy Pro w/4.3 merc....where's the oil filter ?
antney1 replied to antney1's topic in This Old Boat
If I'm standing looking at the engine, it's on the right side.... how far back ?? Is it right in the middle or way back by the transom ?? How do you get it out ?? Like I said I almost got my meat hooks stuck looking for it -
I have searched high and low for the oil filter. Took off the dog house, layed on my stomach, almost got my arm stuck. Tried using a mirror and still couldn't find. Can someone please tell me where the flock the oil filter is and how the flock do you get it out !!?? Thanks
