  1. The one you print is free, its a certificate. So its free. You guys are so glass half empty. Myself, I opted to pay for the license option, dmv sent it quickly. And the cert was FREE so printed that out. default_emoticon-0105-wink.gif

I printed the certificate. It says it's good for 90 days. Therefore you must purchase the New York State icon or send for the card. When you hear the word free it's not really free.

  2. At this time we aren't looking at other weigh in locations. This has a bit to do with the later weigh time to potentially make it convenient for people coming from farther launches. However the sportsman's club is a great location for the west side because it's close to deans and not too far from all west side launches. I understand the concern though and I am sorry it couldn't be easier for everyone but it's tough on a 40mile long lake
I registered today,I'm not experienced with this type of Derby the only other one was the LOU all in . That day I box out and back on the trailer by 1 pm .( 4 foot waves had a little to do with that also ). I went to the club and had to wait to weigh in after 3 . Is this derby the same or can you weigh in say 1 :00 . I get the 3 pm cut off .

  3. I'm betting we passed each other about 8 this morning as I started South of Sheldrake at 6:30 and worked North.  Only saw one other boat out there it sported Red trim, yours??
Fishing continues to be great and the highlight today was a solid landlocked grabbing a cheater and delivering a super aerial show!
    I seen you also , I tried to a call on channel 68 . .0506161053.jpeg

  4. Fished 5:30 to noon . Ran down to just about sheldrake set up in 300 foot of the water. Used 1 Seth green , 1 down Rigger , 2 dipsys , 1 copper rod down chutes . Ran spoons , spin doctors and flies , dodger and flies . Spoons did most of the damage but all work . We did a lot of slivers but only 3 were legal. Biggest fish was a 10 lb Laker. A rain bow hit the Seth green on the 3rd bead down and carried a two lb weight and got a foot of air . When we boated the fish I couldn't believe the little guy was able to get air like it did .. best sonar screens were before sheldrake and south . While nibbling on smoke salmon from the big pond in the boat today no fish were kept ..

  5. I thought the dock was a well done job too . Thanks for the tips today. felt awesome to feel the line being rip off the reel . Sure don't get that on the finger lakes . Met John early morning and then again at the dock coming back in . He hung out and waited to help me dock up with a boat forward on the dock . Was a big help I can't see what's directly in front of the boat or the dock for that matter . Thanks John. I bet he will be willing to go again after those kings ... [emoji3].

  6. I called to see why docks were pulled. First I called sodus point they said they didn't handle it. the town of sodus is in charge of the ramp so I called the town of sodus and basically got a run around and a number for the town supervisor called that number and got a voice mail . So if any one is trying to make plans to go to the point you can call the town supervisor 585 739 7070 his name is Steve . Good luck I'm thinking .....

  7.

Today I took out old friends and meeted a new friend.one of the guys wanted to get his father out and catching trout ,so we did . Had 5 guys on the old saber . I drove and watch these guys earned their fish today. They went 13 for 16 . Started out going north from the cove . TD fish hawk sent down to check temp . 50 down was 56 degrees. Loaded with fish 50 to 70 over 180 fow and they had tight lips . After awhile I turned to the east to Aurora. Started soon picking up a small bow , Lakers and and LL and landing a some what decent landlock for the grill. Made the trip around the park and called it by 11:00 to get out of the heat . I was a little disappointed that we couldn't get on any thing bigger than 4 lb . Although we had a snap off and John said it was heavy. I fished last weekend and the fleas were horrible. Today they were light and easy to remove from lines . 19170.thumb.jpeg.e14b926fbbe133f199a2522357184ac8.jpegIMG_20190721_095938812.thumb.jpeg.0690a6788e1df36085841f451390c5c0.jpegIMG_20190721_095942675.thumb.jpeg.18855527d0647ca56ff028e698b20ca4.jpeg

  8. I have also wondered how long before the fish take a hit from the fishing pressure. I keep 2 to 4 fish for consumption every other time out , I get out a couple times a week or try to . I seen charters come back in with pack coolers . Witch is ok by me . I would want to keep fish to take home also . Catch and release.. When the water is cold the fish go back pretty easy. Now it's hot it's much harder to get them to go back . I have had my share of floaters..witch makes me feel I killing the fish just so I can have a good time ..
I'm a rookie so this is just imo.

I fished Seneca for the most part and move over to Cayuga cause the fishing got hard and the quality die off for me . I got my fingers crossed to see Seneca to return to the pass days and Cayuga to keep producing the way it is . ..
