  1. Port Bay is my favorite . I have a 22 foot saber and used the south and north launches with no problem at all .I sure the south ramp is flooded out . With the high water and on shore winds the road to the north launch gets rough in spots . The state dose fill it back in when wash out but can be a bit bumpy You best bet is to ask L&M here on LOU .

  2. I was straightening up the boat from the canandaigua lake Derby and after reading this post decided to check my safety gear. Pulled my water proof flare kit box out to check dates on flares . The expired date is October 2019 . So my question is, dose that mean I have to the end of the month or do they aspire on the 1st of the month? If they're good to the end of the month I'm good for the year as I put the boat up usually the second or third week of October.

  3. You said the arm is collapsing while you're turning left so you need to tighten the EZ steer arm up a tad .put your I/O lower unit down in the drive position and in the straight position set your kicker in the drive position . adjust the kicker so in straight position with the arm attached to the i/o lower unit. On the EZ steer arm there is two pins and they have screws on the end of them need to tweak each one a little bit. Don't over tighten the pins you still want the easy steer arm to be able to move.

Well today went better than ten days ago . Last time on the lake I wasted the controlls to the main . today I fished with a friend haven't seen since last fall. Boat controlls work ok and we boated 12 for 16 all lake trout . We ran Seth greens and 2 in line boards one was pulling mono with a keel weight with spoon the other was 300 foot of copper and spoon . The copper was the go to rod Seth green caught 1 fish a pice rest was copper rod . I ran down the fish hawk TD top was 57 degrees. down 70 was 44 degrees. That is were the marks are also did see some quality marks 10 to 20 down. It's definitely slower fishing than it was . To much rain probably. Going to get ready to fish canandaigua lake hang out with some friends and donate to camp good days next weekend . I say donate cause I'm sure sk8man will come up with a 20 lb brown to win .IMG_20190601_074956799_BURST000_COVER.thumb.jpeg.459cb2f27483e5b02a5f3c2ff97d9c76.jpegIMG_20190601_104840431.thumb.jpeg.a09d6f3dea9072e6ab32e09992774c13.jpegIMG_20190522_122737940.thumb.jpeg.a6d953fc476a29701c5fb6996b0033c7.jpegIMG_20190530_124245674.thumb.jpeg.fc7b508c340f9a67d9fca634a94a99af.jpeg

  5. Seems like our weather runs a month behind what use to be from years ago . Now guys are fishing warm days in February and now cold wet days in May. With a tease of warm Sunny day here and there . High water has become the new norm . SUCKS

.. and the little league teams playing ball in wet muddy fields.

  6.

Fished south of the cove, inside water . Ran outer boards , 1 line each side and short copper down the chute . Mark some really nice fish, but they didn't want to play. No silvers for me [emoji29] just Lakers . I did kept a couple of orange tip Lakers for dinner . Lake was claim ( probably to claim ) did make for a comfortable troll tho .I found 48 degree water with big balls of bait piled up on the drop offs . Good day on the water never the less . I got to meet a couple of LOU guys that I haven't met before , and was nice chatting with you guys .
